Kona Shores is a great location right on Alii Drive (Hawaii Scenic Byway). A lovely complex with oceanfront pool & BBQ area for easy island living! Ground floor with easy access to Alii Drive and just one mile to downtown Kona, shopping, restaurants & beaches. Well maintained condo. Enjoy a thoughtfully laid out floor plan that will give you space and comfort during your stay. The kitchen features full sized appliances, gas stove, ice maker, built in microwave, custom cabinets and new granite counters. There is a split system A/C to keep cool from the Kona heat. Relax on the couch (queen pull-out) watch the flat screen TV and the king size bed will help you have a great start and end to your day on. Worry free assigned parking that is right next to the unit. This is one of the cleanest, most well-equipped rentals we have ever had the privilege to stay in. Vicki has thought of everything (cooler, beach towels, fins/masks, laundry detergent, etc). Her "master" binder on the counter includes menus, information on local activities, emergency weather procedures as well as local hospital/clinic numbers, etc. should they be needed. She even provides a white noise machine/earplugs for those who may be disturbed by the intermittent street noise. While we did notice the street noise it did not affect our stay. Additionally, the pool overlooking the ocean was a nice place to relax after a busy day. Should we return to Kona we would definitely stay here again.

Near perfect. Think of it as a mid-level motel, with kitchen, that is near perfect. Well thought out. Combine that with its location and price and I doubt there's a better deal on the island. My only recommendation, and this isn't critical by any stretch, I would like to see a newer TV that allows access to multiple apps and higher speed internet wifi (if possible).

Wonderful property
The owner of this property is one of the most responsive that I have come across so far. The house was very clean, the kitchen was arranged very well and the location was very convenient. She offered without me even asking to extend the checkout time to 8 pm since our flight back was at 10 pm. When the coffee maker malfunctioned and I texted her she was at work. However in the evening she dropped off a brand new coffeemaker! Would give this a six star rating.

This is the one you want
This place is perfect for a couple or small family. The cleanliness, location, amenities and all the little extra touches from Vickie made it a perfect stay. She had EVERYTHING we needed. She had brochures for national parks, several books on the island, tonnes of menus with reviews for restaurants, condiments and coffee plus way way more. We enjoyed this way more than the Hilton Hawaiian village we stayed at in Honolulu.

This property was exactly what we were looking for. A convenient and comfortable place to land after exploring all day. The exploring was made easier by the amenities provided by the host, we were more than delighted to find beach towels, beach chairs, a cooler for our water and lunches, and even snorkeling gear! We could have made coffee in our unit, but we could also take a short walk to a coffee shop! The pool at the complex was perfect, with a view of the ocean! We were even able to do a couple loads of laundry to get us caught up. Communication with our host from the get go was prompt and gracious. Much appreciated!!

Very clean, all the amenities i think you need. A lot of extras you do not always get at other places. Traffic can be a little noisy but tolerable. Updated with very nice decor. A/C is nice with cieling fans. Very nice kitchen with everything you need to prepare meals.

Clean, spacious, great location! We highly recommend this VRBO. With a parking spot right outside our door, and in a convenient location not far from tourist spots, beaches and grocery stores, we were able to make the most of our vacation. So nice to have a cooler and ice bottles ready for us. Vicki was especially good at providing vacation ideas and promptly answered all our questions.

Beautiful suite with every attention to detail
We stayed in this property of Vickis for 3 nights while visiting the Kailua-Kona area. I wish we could have enjoyed it longer. Vicki is a spectacular host, communicating clearly as often as necessary, instructions for checkin/out in the condo very clear and laid out. Her attention to detail is amazing. She anticipates every possible need for her guests, from restaurant brochures to beach essentials. The condo was spotless and her personal care for the place between guests was evident. This was very much appreciated. The king bed was so very comfortable as well. Lovely linens and towels. Thank you Vicki. I would recommend your place in a minute. We had parking steps from our condo door. The condo is street side so you hear some traffic and the upstairs neighbour was fairly heavy footed in the mornings but Vicki even provides earplugs for that if needed! You probably do need to drive to the shopping area down Ali'i drive from the condo but we did walk to a great restaurant from here. There are bikes to rent across street and a shuttle i understand. Staying longer I believe you'd appreciate being a bit away from the busy touristy area. It was an ideal location!
