It’s super outdated. Tragically so— it felt like a whole different world from other hotels in the area. The exterior looks much nicer than what you walk into. The room was large, the ac ran cold, bed was comfortable. We were there because of the hurricane and our power being off — so for that it was a blessing. I wouldn’t have my family stay there if they visited.

Room was clean and had very nice comfortable beds. The hotel interior hallways need some refresh, but overall it was a very secure location to shelter from the hurricane coming.

The hotel was very dirty including our room. Our room felt wet, smelled bad and very outdated. The breakfast was awful. Not much to choose from and they were out of orange juice and apple juice everyday and we stayed (4) nights due to hurricane.

Excellent value. I really enjoyed my 5-night stay. The desk clerk did a great job seamlessly merging two reservations, unlike a recent experience at a different chain. The room was spacious and clean. Best of all, housekeeping were not impatient pests who thought you should be operating on their schedule. Too often during my travels the "Do Not Disturb" sign means banging on the door and loud shouting at 8:30 AM. Not at this La Quinta. I was able to use my typical online late night work schedule and sleep from 3 AM until 10:30 AM without concern that anyone would be bothered. Other than checkout day I was able to leave the room at noon and it would be perfectly serviced when I returned late at night. The large housekeeping staff were always still working early in the afternoon. I can't emphasize enough how great that was. Much appreciated. I will return here when I'm in the area again.

The room smelled like cigarettes, the walls were stained yellow, the carpet was coming lifting there was mold in the bathroom tub, the mattress was dirty and there were insects on the table. I have not been able to get my refund, I don’t understand why, I have proof via photos.

Cheap room with less than stellar front desk help
I wasn’t very impressed with people at the front desk at all. The night time lady was kind of rude because at 8:55 she wanted to lock the pool up and stood there like we were children while we gathered our stuff. They also tried to charge a deposit?! I have always used my card for incidentals and never been asked to pay 100 dollar deposit. Ultimately it was waived but was a little frustrated when asked.
