The Andaz West Hollywood is the old but upgraded Hyatt on Sunset. The hotel has been remodelled with a music theme given its rock & roll hell raising past. The only issue is the property only had two elevators, and when it’s busy you can wait a while for one. Also if you have a low floor Sunset facing, the noice of traffic can be an issue. They provide ear plugs but as I’m not on an aircraft, I prefer not to. The staff try very hard to please which is very welcoming.

The Valets were amazing!! They went above and beyond when we had a mechanical issue with our car, a stressful situation was made a lot less stressful than it could have been. Rooftop pool is great, as are the views from the rooms.

I spoke to 4-5 different cleaners, they were all very friendly, that was nice. The roof is nice for watching the sunset. I didn't eat at the restaurant, great options nearby for different tastes and price range/time allotment. The shower had great pressure and was nice and hot. Checking in and out was easy. The bed was comfortable. The area is very safe, and if you like to walk you can. Overall, nice staff, a nice room and location, felt like the right value compared to the range of either pricier or cheaper places to stay nearby.

I think this was my fourth stay here. Great room, great breakfast. Walkable to many dining options and a short drive to Universal Studios. I would definitely stay again.

Basic property. Rooms need renovations. Saw a cockroach near the kitchen. Staff if cool, but bartenders aren't cool. Beds are comfy. Everything is too dark at night.
