Great view from ocean view room. AC was not working and we don't have a coffee machine in the room. Also, i think we are next to a utility closet as there are wooshing and thumping sounds that you could hear esp at night.

I was there for 9 nights. The key is to book a room with an ocean view and balcony. The neighborhood is not great, but not terrible, either. It's very close to the beach. 15 minute walk to Santa Monica Pier, as well. One minor complaint: there is a daily "Destination Fee" added of $39/day. This is pretty steep for just a pool (a nice pool, mind you), but one where you are not permitted to bring out any food or drinks.

The hotel itself is nice and our room was clean. The lady that checked us in was very nice and attentive and probably the best part of the experience. The hotel is relatively close to the pier, and easy walk to the water. Overall I would say its a good place to stay.

Eh. It’s fine. I booked it as Le Meridien and the Hyatt bought it and they honoured the room. Location is great, but the Hyatt themselves are pretty stingy and make a lot of stuff an inconvenience. The TV barely worked. I had to request a coffee machine (?? Stuff like this sucks when you want to get out and see LA.) No minibar. Very expensive for what it was. Beds were comfy and rooms were ok.
