It was a unique hotel and the restaurant and bar were great but the school that was behind the property on the Hollywood blvd side was absolutely awful when it came to noise. I was woken up at 7am and the noise and screaming didn’t stop until nearly 7pm every evening. For being an upgraded room, it was absolutely terrible because of the noise.

This property used to be our "go to" for great bedding, views, and professional friendly staff. This time - not only had they OVER-BOOKED the hotel so they GAVE AWAY our Deluxe Room (as they did to several other guests), the front desk staff were complete idiots - how can the front desk not know when the spa is open? The Concierge was rude and obnoxious - laughing at us when we asked him to write down the names of local restaurants telling us to "walk around the corner you'll find some it's not that hard to do" when we asked for information on more than one. The Valet, Room Service, and Porters were the BEST however, they always are. THEY should be at the front desk not the obnoxious staff there today.

If you are looking for a high end experience, keep looking. Sofitel has a name that is respected, but this location doesn’t look up to it. There are no little extras that make it special. The staff treat you like they are doing you a favor, are completely unwilling to give you extra information or tell you about the property, the property itself needs a paint touch up, the rooms are average. I did not feel like I was staying at a high end place. A glorified holiday inn express at best. Such an expensive disappointment. They could really do so much more to set them apart from their price point competition.

Lovely Very Demure darling
It’s was a great hotel with lovely amenities. The room was really nice, the pool is a distance from the common areas of the hot and rooms but once you get there it’s really private with lots of cozy seating areas.
