The hotel and pool area was first class. The room was dated and the bathroom needed a deep clean (black mould in grouting and fittings) Bed sloped . Houskeeping did a great job daily with what they had to work with. All the staff were outstanding

The Hotel Emperador lived up to my expectations and beyond. The access to the rooftop bar and pool was a great bonus and plentifully enjoyed.

I would not recommend this hotel for anyone who appreciates AC or quiet. Apart from the reception who tried their best, rooftop staff made it seem like we were inconveniencing them, few spoke english, few umbrellas. Our AC barely worked, no complimentary drinks in mini bar similar to other madrid hotels, dirty shower (definitely not cleaned), bad water pressure, and music from rooftop pool blasted until 1am keeping us up. It’s these small luxuries that add up on an international trip and make a difference. I would recommend hotel preciados any day, and if you’re keen for a pool with music, grab a day pass.

We got an upgraded room through Expedia, and it was probably the nicest room we had during our Spanish vacation. Staff are super nice and helpful. There is a rooftop pool and bar which was an awesome bonus. It is located on the Gran Via not far from the Royal Palace and is close to subway stations. It was also really close to shopping and dining options. We highly recommend this hotel.
