Wonderfully quiet setting. Only down side was the gas grill. We were expected to obtain the propane tank if it went out, which it did. Otherwise, excellent cabin that was very clean and peaceful!

The layout of the cabin was perfect for our family. We loved watching the deer and geese. We had an issue with the plumbing, but it was resolved promptly.

Wonderful escape.
Great property. Owner seems to have thought of everything you might need. Everything was clean and functional. Surroundings were picturesque. A great scenic drive in as well. Owner responded quickly to questions. We had one issue which I do not blame anyone for. We went in the winter and the temp dropped to 3 degrees. We should have left the water dripping or something. The pipes apparantly froze and we had no water the day of our departure. These were extreme conditions. Owner said they will add a precaution to the welcome literature. All I would add to this beautiful cabin is a coat rack or hooks for big winter coats and maybe a good floor mat at the entrance for snowy boots. We will absolutely go again sometime. We loved it, but we may go when it’s warmer. I bet it’s lovely in autumn as well. Love the calming sounds of the river.

Amazing place! We would love to come back
Went with our family with a few Little’s aging from 1-10 they had a blast. We mostly stayed in the creek all day and night . Kids caught crawdads and husbands did a little fly fishing . It was amazing and well equipped stay. The owners have done an amazing job having everthing you need.

Recent stay
Due to multiple days of rain, we had plenty of time at this house sitting on the porch. House was clean and well equipped. The porch is lovely and we enjoyed the sound of the creek. One positive I didn’t see in other reviews was it has really good wifi. While you don’t go to this area to use the wifi, with all the rain we had, the wifi salvaged the stay. We would stay here again without hesitation.

NO WATER
We had no running water for 3 days and 2 nights because the pipes froze because the owner did not have the heat on prior to our arrival despite the temperatures being below and around zero just before our arrival. And then the owner lied to us saying that the problem had to do with the City of Asheville shutting off the water in the entire area - the property was an hour from Asheville and on well water....

Met our needs
The property was clean, modern, and comfortable, for the most part, and in the location that we wanted. Nice fire ring, awesome hot tub, nice TV's with HD and good reception, and a very pleasant rural setting, complete with deer, rabbits, turkeys, and coyotes in the yard. Good choice of coffee makers, and an excellent selection of cookware and tableware. Good showers. Plenty of towels and blankets. There were, however, a number of maintenance issues and problems with instructions that were a bit irritating, but we adjusted to them. Such as: This place is VERY hard to find unless you know where it is, even if standing only 50 ft away. And if you can't find it, there is no one to call, because there is virtually no cell phone service in the area. Zero. No Verizon or AT&T. And the lock does not always work the way described, particularly if one's hands are very cold or if the sun is shining directly on the lock, so you can get stuck outside sometimes for a few minutes. No lights over the stove or the sink, so we had to use a flashlight when working in those areas. The ice dispenser did not work at first, as it was crammed full of frost (I fixed it). Overhead lights out in both bathrooms. The dishwasher was very hard to start, and often took many attempts over several minutes to finally get the button to work. The pipes under the kitchen sink leaked into the cabinet below, so that water would trickle out of the cabinet onto the floor and get your feet wet. There were instructions for the TV on how to get live programming on Spectrum, but there was no Spectrum programming unless one has their own password. The bed mattress in the north bedroom was very comfortable, but the one in the south bedroom was thinner and VERY hard, so the one who loses the coin flip and gets the south bedroom will not be sleeping well. 3 or 4 of the kitchen cabinet doors were falling off their hinges. We never did figure the HVAC out completely. One of the 3 controls had instructions on the back, which told you what buttons to push for heating or cooling, but none of the buttons were labeled, so there was a lot of trial and error every time to get comfortable. The bathrooms need some shelving or laydown area. Just a few of the issues, but all together we enjoyed ourselves. Considering the many other cabins/homes we have rented over the years, our judgment was that the overall value for this unit was not in line with the cost. We rate it satisfactory.

Log cabin on lovely stream
The house and grounds were exactly as described. The camera on the porch has been turned off so we were happy about that. The stream was even more beautiful than pictured. We didn’t catch anything but it was wonderful to sit on the porch and listen to the water. We had a great hike and fished other parts of the stream. The town of hot springs was a fun find. The only thing I’d add would be a full length mirror. Also cutting the grass outside once a week during the summer would b better as it gets pretty high at the end of the second week. Otherwise it was perfect.

Great way to get away for the holidays
We had a great time staying at this property. It's wonderful because it's right on the stream and while not super secluded, you are closed off enough from the neighbors. The only complaint we had was in finding the house that is very easy to drive past the numbers that are next to the old barn, especially if it's late/dark. If it was pointed out to turn in next to the barn/behind the trees and this would run you right into the property would have helped. Other than that we loved it.

Cabin getaway for family Thanksgiving.
This cabin is amazing. It was perfect for the 4 of us. Cabin was very clean when we arrived. House was well stocked - towels, sheets, blankets, kitchen needs. We did bring a roaster and baking dishes since we were doing our traditional thanksgiving dinner. We had some nice sunny warm days and a few chilly, heavy frosted mornings. The cabin was nice and cozy and warm. Fire pit was fun and relaxing. The stream running right behind the house was so relaxing. Sat on the porch reading and soaking up the sun and the sounds of the flowing water. The guys tried their hand at fly fishing for the first time. Saw a few fish, ducks, blue heron, and lots of deer. Would definitely choose this cabin again.

The place was so clean and the property so beautiful. Sitting on the porch with the sound of that river flowing, best days of this whole year. The owners were very nice and even got together with me when my husband's phone was left down in the couch cushion so we could retrieve the phone. Very nice people. Clean, perfect home. Will definitely return

Nice place place for bubbling brooks and solitude
We had great stay. It was clean sheets were so very soft made you want to stay in bed. Sitting on backporch and watching my dog splash thru the creek was wonderful. We got some hiking in but wished we could have found out more about the trails etc . Nice country store down the road to the left ( not right ) people very friendly. Need to have trash card with you to dump instructions were not clear on that it’s behind the door . Some difficulty with TV if you did not already have Roku etc accounts but we did not come for tv so no big deal . Lovely place would come back again . A guest book with nearby restaurants, sights would be nice , have to take a ride to Hot Springs to watch the Appl hikers and hipsters and bars etc We did find some pet friendly cafes . And downtown Marshall Is quaint great for lunch and the Ingles Grocery Mart is fantastic. Cabin is in good condition!! As I said I would be glad to recommend to anyone . Dennis
