Less than 5 minutes’ walk to King Fahd Gate 79, which was very convenient. Also close to the Clock Tower. The location is excellent for easy access. However, the room had a strong smell that resembled cigarette smoke. My family says it might be oud, but I’m not sure—it gave me a headache. The smell was the only downside to an otherwise great stay.

This is the second time I have stayed at The Conrad whilst visiting Makkah for Umrah. The hotel is fantastic, it is exactly what is needed whilst there. The hotel is clean, the beds are comfortable and the staff is just amazing. Special shout out to Shaheen who was very respectful and would always help us out and he did a great job cleaning our room. The location is very very ideal as it is right in front of the main gate of the Haram, the elevators would take you right to the front, all you had to do was cross the road and you would be in the Haram. The food court within the complex was also good with all your big names there and variety of food options. I would definitely recommend the Conrad and I cant wait for my next stay there again!

This is my second visit to this hotel, unfortunately the room smells bed and after the complaint didn’t get any assistance, Also booked the executive room with free lounge access included, but at the time of check inn , girl said the time is 2 to 4pm, which is weird because the room check in time was after 4, so whats the point to pay extra for executive room? Overall the stay was disappointing.

Excellent facility, close to haram, just opposite Haram's gate no. 79 (used for Tawaf). The rooms are spacious and they provided two double beds and one single bed for a family of 4 which was excellent. Lift is new and very fast. Good breakfast options. They charged extra for the kids breakfast which was not clear when I was booking at Expedia as Kids were included in the booking. So be mindful of that when booking. The taxi I arranged for pick up was not allowed in initially due to security clearance at the entry level. It delayed my departure for half an hour. I would stay again here in the future.

Conrad Makkah brilliant
Really good hotel with excellent customer service throughout. Large choice of breakfast with fresh carrot juice. The security gentleman at the entrance was so polite and welcoming, made everyone feel special.

I stayed at the Conrad with my wife, and the experience was exceptional. The manager, Muhammad Ali, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. The staff was prompt, respectful, and provided excellent support, allowing us to focus entirely on our Umrah. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again on our next visit.

The Sofitel Shahd Al Madinah offers a fantastic stay in the heart of Madinah. Its location is ideal—just steps from the Prophet's Mosque and close to Taiba Shopping Centre. The hotel has spacious, comfortable rooms, perfect for unwinding after a busy day. The international breakfast buffet is excellent, with a wide selection that caters to all tastes.
