Location is amazing, room not so much
You get what you pay for. We rented at this hotel because it was cheap and was located right on Ocean Drive. If you’re just looking for a place to lay your head, the very bare minimum, this will do. That was our thought process, so we weren’t surprised when the room was tiny or the bed was rock hard. But if we could do it all over again we’d cut our 2 day stay to 1, spend the same total amount of money and get a better room somewhere else. The ac worked but barely, the mattress was both hard like stone and lumpy. You could definitely do worse, and the location is spectacular, but the room left A LOT to be desired. Probably wouldn’t stay there again, or recommend it. If you’re used to sleeping on the floor in a hot closet, and all you care about is location and saving money then this place will work for you. We learned the hard way that it’s just not for us. Location and cheap stay, that’s what the majestic has going for it, not much else.

Front staff terrible. Paid extra for partial ocean view. Was a view of a building. Was above the kitchen and bar so loud all the time. Pillows were supper thin and asked for more and was told they don’t have any.

The elevator was broken my whole stay so we had to walk up and down the steps with luggage. My hotel room only had hot water for one day and that’s after reporting the issue.

The Majestic has a great location. The restaurant has good food. But I had a big problem. I had paid $208.51. At the time of my check-in, the hotel system refused my card to pay the deposit. So I had to access my bank and told him I'm sorry I already paid this amount and the problem is here in the hotel system. All I wanted to do was change my clothes and go for a run 🏃‍➡️ after 2 hours the gentleman gave me the key. It was a very embarrassing situation. 🤨

The location is great as the ocean is right across the street. However, the room is cramped and small, very noisy as we could hear music and bass all night, and the a/c barely worked. It was so hot in our room that we were drenched in sweat. The sheets were just placed on the bed, but they weren’t tucked. So, the sheets immediately slid off the rubber mattress, exposing it and the bed was as hard as a rock.

This was the worst experience I have had with a hotel there was hidden fees and the bed was hard as a rock no mini fridge key cards don’t work I need a new one ever day and there was mold in the bath room and on the window next to the bed it also smells really bad

The proximity to everything in south beach is walkable, the restaurant in the hotel has great food with decent prices and the staff was pretty friendly in the hotel and restaurant. The room was small, and thats putting it lightly, literally had to close the closet door to open the bathroom door, no space for toiletries in the bathroom, hot water took forever to heat up in the shower. Room was on the corner of 7th and Beach, so it was very loud, inwas on the 3rd floor and the elevator broke down my 2nd of 8 days so it was ridiculous taking bags down for checkout. If you are just looking for a bed to sleep on, this is a great location, restaurant and price, but if you plan on spending any time in the room, especially during the rainy season, i would look elsewhere.
