Second Visit, Excellent!

We have just sadly got home from a week long stay at Edgewater. We have stayed here previosuly two years ago, and decided to return, which we don't normally do, but glad we did. A lot seems to have changed, many improvements and all the staff are new.. The hotel itself is in a great location. Right on ocean Drive but just far away to get a good nights sleep. 20 minutes from the airport by taxi, and everything from the hotel is within walking distance! The hotel is wonderfully clean. Room - we had what looked like a suite this time, separate living and kitchen area. There is plenty of storage, nice and quiet, although our room was right next to the lift which was noisy. Didnt bother us too much though. TV has loads of channels, meaning i could watch the World Cup when my girlfriend was getting ready! Spotlessly clean also. The fridge is a great idea. We stocked it full of water from Walgreens, and took it to the beach every day. Staff - All the staff were fantastic. Al pleasant, and couldnt do enough for you. Special call out to Dale who really made our stay, Michael and Edward for really saving the day with transport to a concert, and Talisa for all her help. Happy Hour is another reason we returned here. Ok the drinks are paid for with the resort fee, but its nice sitting on the rooftop have a couple of 'free' drinks whilst deciding where to go for the night. Breakfast is basic, but similar to the happy hour, its nice having something simple on the roof. Pastries, fruits, yoghurt, eggs etc. I would be twice the size if we'd also eaten breakfast out every day! Couple of minor suggestions - Bigger beach towels, the ones provided are fine, but we ended up renting loungers ($55/day) to save lying half in the sand Cooler pack - one to take to the beach with ice in would be a great touch. We only thought of it on the last day, or would have bought one. All in all a fanastic stay and would recommend this hotel every day. We will definitely return!

Perfect location

Hotel was perfectly situated for all restaurants, shopping and just across the road from beach. Our room was ok although our view was into a courtyard looking into other peoples rooms so we had to keep our curtains closed all the time and the lighting in the room was quite poor so always seem dark.

Clean hotel, friendly staff, great location

Everything at this hotel was absolutely fine. The staff down at the reception were very friendly and helpful as well as the lady serving breakfast and the cleaners. The room was clean and the little kitchen area was a nice bonus. The breakfast was basic but adequate and its served up on a beautiful balcony overlooking the beach. The lady serving serving the drinks during the happy hour did seem a bit on edge/sharp and my partner and I were a bit uncomfortable but other than that I would happily reccomend the hotel to a friend. Thanks for a pleasant stay.

Great end to a lovely week

A great location just across from the beach. We arrived in the evening and the street was lit up and busy - very exciting. The Edgewater facade kept changing colour. The receptionist was polite and very helpful and check in was quick and hassle free. The room was large and spacious with a mini kitchen which we had not anticipated. Decor was cool and pleasant. Bed comfortable, bathroom clean with good shower and plenty of towels. Downside was the outlook - onto a service alley and the backs of other hotels although it did face the ocean. There was a balcony but the view did not invite sitting out on it. Breakfast was served on the roof terrace which had a nice setting and while the breakfast was the usual continental the croissants were fresh and so were the pastries. Only regret we could not stay longer

Loistavalla paikalla! Ainut miinus oli että huoneemme sijaitsi 1. Kerroksessa niin oli tosi pimeä myös huoneiston valaistus oli aika surkea. Huone itsessään oli tilava ja kiva. Meitä majottautui 4 samaan huoneeseen.

Gutes Hotel am Ocean Drive für den Aufenthalt gab Strandstühle gratis dazu. Das kontinentale Frühstück auf der Terrasse reicht für einen Start in den Tag. Gerne wieder!

Leider nicht mehr das, was es mal war

Da sich das Management geändert hat, wurde fast das sämtliche Personal ausgetauscht. Das neue Personal ist sehr unfreundlich, die Sauberkeit auch nicht das, was es mal war. Nie mehr das Hotel!!!!

Wunderschöner Urlaub

Das Hotel hat meine Erwartung übertroffen. Ich war 10 Tage im Hotel mit meiner Kollegin. Wir hatten 2 Zimmer mit Ocean view. Hatte zuerst etwas bedenken wegen des Lärms an Ocean Dr. aber die Zimmer sind sehr gut isoliert so dass man vom Strassenlärm nichs mitbekommen hat. Die Lage ist einmalig der Strand super. Die besten Adressen zum Einkaufen sind in greifbarer Nähe. Das nächste mal in Miami werde wir liebend gerne wieder ins Edgewater Hotel gehen.
