I would have given it a 5/5, but a few things I experienced that prevented this. I was given a room next to the elevator so all night long there’s the elevator engines going up and down. The guests next room were loud and I can hear their conversation. Seems the noice deafening wall materials are not the best.

Great place to stay!
Upon arrival, the front desk staff immediately greeted me with a smile and a "welcome"! I wish I would have gotten each of their names but everyone from front desk staff to the ladies in the breakfast area were very pleasant and accommodating. The room we first checked into had a faulty TV so they quickly got us into a new room and helped us move our luggage. Easy parking, quick wifi, convenient location, very comfortable beds...it's a great hotel! Do note that this location does not have AC. It didn't matter because the weather was so pleasant but just something to know because I didn't see anything about this when I booked.

The property was kept extremely clean, even the parking area was power washed during our stay. The bed was terrific, we got a great nights sleep and we're try to find the same bed for our home! the staff was great and very helpful. It's close to the Warf and Cannery Row. We highly recommend this Best Western

Terrible service from Hotels.com
NO AIR CONDITIONING! We traveled to the area for a convention during a wonderful heat wave. My colleague's room reached 83 degrees on the third floor, while mine was a little lower at 80. There was a sign at the entrance that said no air conditioning, but we thought it would be ok in the evening, but it was not. I spent hours on the phone with Hotels.com to change hotels, and the first person I spoke to for over an hour was about to change the room, and then we got cut off. I called Hotels.com again, and this time, I reached a different person who was not helpful at all!! I spent 1.5 hours on the phone, and he said Best Western would not cancel the reservation and he could only offer a $75 credit. This while I could hear chickens in the background, how unprofessional. When I spoke to the Best Western hotel staff, they emphatically said they told Hotels.com they WOULD cancel the reservation at no charge. So apparently, the "supervisor" at Hotels.com (I was told so) decided not to change the hotel. He would not give me his employee ID. We spend probably close to $100,000 annually with Hotels.com, and this is the service we get! Time to move on to another brand!

Very good and affordable option. We enjoyed hot tub and heated pool. Coffee machine in lobby has great variety of coffee and chocolate drinks. Breakfast is really good quality for this price range. We'll be coming back!
