The soundproofing of the hotel needs to be greatly improved. I moved my room because of the incredibly loud fountain which was audible at the same level in my room. I was moved away from the fountain but could hear my neighbours both upstairs and across/beside as if they were in the same room! At one point I had to go upstairs and ask the people to turn down their tv because it was so loud. But no matter how low volume the tv was, it still kept me awake. Plus their walking around sounded like they were walking on my head. The location was great but the experience felt awful. Also there was construction happening right beside my room making it difficult to concentrate on preparing for my presentation at a local conference. The hotel is just too loud.

Amazing place to stay in Monterey. Comfortable bed and pillows. The fireplace made the room warm and cozy! 3-5 min walk to the fisherman’s wharf. You cannot go wrong staying at this hotel. We’ll be staying here again.

Cute Hotel centrally located
The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. I love that the beds are separated from the living/dining area. The fireplace is a nice touch. Easy walk to Fisherman’s Wharf or an inexpensive Uber ride.

The grounds were cute. Lots of little nooks to discover as the place is bigger than originally thought. Great location just a few walking minutes from Fishermen’s Wharf. Tons of shops and restaurants in the area. Great walking path along the Coast. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast consisted of sausage, hard boiled eggs, muffins, bagels, yogurt and fresh fruit. I had a lovely stay.
