The property was quiet with no traffic noise. It was also very dark at night which allowed good stargazing and excellent sleep. In addition to the two restaurants on site, there are two good restaurants in walking distance. Monterey is a 20 minute drive.

The Quail lodge is stunning! We stayed here for our honeymoon as it combined a lovely, off-the-beaten-path resort with a fantastic golf course. Sadly, I got injured so I wasn’t able to take advantage of the golf but the grounds & location were still wonderful. We were treated exceptionally kindly, the grounds are extremely well kept, the room was beautiful and the dinner we had at the restaurant was very good! We also enjoyed that the road is relatively quiet and runs right into a trail-system near the river. We did quite a few morning walks which were a fantastic way to start our days. If you are looking to stay a little (10 min drive) outside of town - look no further! This place has everything you need.

Nice rooms. Pretty basic with huge bathrooms. There’s two restaurants on property one golf course and one at the lodge. Nice places to walk around that property. The big reason would be to play golf. Golf course has been great shape Not too hard of a course for mid handicap. One of the top closest in area. It’s not Pebble Beach, but it doesn’t cost as much as Pebble either. Nice golf Practice area which comes with price course.
