Staff are perfection! And the market in the lobby is great and a nice convenience. The wear on the room can be seen and AC was not consistently working so room was hot and stuffy at times. But again just the wear that’s on a lot of popular places. Because AC was completely broken in first room I changed rooms. I could see that upgraded room was way better so maybe don’t get the cheapest room and get king with couch. Second room was better and bigger shower. Hotel is very conveniently located downtown near Shubert Theatre and lots of restaurants.

Modern and specious lobby. Nice little snack/bar station in the back of the check in counter. Easy access to the parking garage with in-and-out privilege. (There is a hallway to the parking lot on 2nd floor so no need to go outside and walk across) Our room was spacious, pillows were very comfortable. Very happy with the price too.

The hotel is steps from Yale's campus, and as opposed to an in-house restaurants, they have special deals for guests with lots of the restaurants in the neighbourhood, which is a really nice approach.

The room facilities should be upgraded. The room smells damp and feel like out of care. No theme in the interior decoration. Service was just so-so. It’s not worth to spend USD631.66/2 nights. Besides, there is no deposit request in fees&policy but they did it and didn’t tell me upon my check-in. It’s bad.

Loud! Beware! No rest to be had! We booked this hotel as a stop over on our commute on our vacation. We opted for this as opposed to some other lower end hotels available bc we were in need of a quiet place for a good sleep as we had been traveling for over a week. The hotel was easy to find and has a connected parking garage which was convenient. I thought it was interesting that the hotel staff told me parking was $24 while the listed max rate at the garage was $22. The hotel staff was not especially welcoming but even more importantly, they did not really explain much about ok parking. If I hadn’t read another review, I likely would have left the room keys in the room but I read another review that said you need them to exit the garage (and we did need them). There is a box by the garage exit to leave your keys. Most importantly, this hotel was quite loud! We were near the elevators (which I asked about upon check in but was told they were sold out so I was SOL essentially). I am not sure if the noise was even the elevator bc the elevator didn’t seem to loud while in it, but there was a constant noise in our room so we assumed that is what it was. Just beware if you are hoping to get rest and are a light sleeper (maybe bring ear plugs). We literally could not wait to bid New Haven farewell in the morning and were about as tired as when we arrived! On a positive note, the lobby was beautiful, the room was ok (we had a view of a brick wall).

Noisy nights due to ambulance traffic of course! It’s near the Yale Medical centers. Very convenient location with parking for Yale Parents. Great receptionists. Older building and that’s fine with me.
