Not a bad place, but the road noise was terrible; glad I had my ear buds. The mattress was thin and the bar was not open. It also took 20 min. for valet to bring our vehicle to us. Staff were nice and it’s walkable to a lot of things to do. I’ve stayed in NOLA 4 times and I would stay at the other hotels again, probably not this one though.

There were clear opportunities with cleanliness. The pillows were stained, there were holes in the curtains and the windows were covered with algae which made it hard to see the view. The bathroom was very clean.

Standard issue reliable hotel in the area. Wasn’t too nice, wasn’t at all bad. Wonderful location and a trusty place to return to. If I ever get routed overnight in New Orleans again, I’d happily give The Mercantile another go.
