Nice tiny room in midtown
Tiny room, but clean and had everything! Would totally recommend. Great mid town location. Not for a couples retreat but a good business working hotel room.

Upon arrival, check-in failed to offer me an upgrade despite platinum status. The room was one of tiniest in all my journeys. No closet, not even a luggage rack. As I was staying for 6 days, trying to figure out how to unpack was quite the puzzle. Then, out of the blue, they called and said they had a different room for me. Nice, but I had just spent over an hour trying to figure out where to put everything. I was not going to repack and unpack again…that was not how I wanted to spend my vacation. And, had I changed rooms I wouldn’t have made a new friend, the maintenance engineer. In my room, the TV remote did not work, the phone did not work, and even the air conditioner did not work. Around day 3 or 4 I made the mistake of going to the lobby and asking for clean towels. Someone at that front desk was obviously having a bad day, and an elderly woman traveling alone must have appeared as an easy mark on which to vent her frustration. So, after a day out, I returned to my room to find the dirty towels still on the bathroom floor and no clean ones anywhere to be found. Now, it wasn’t all bad. The room showed signs of heavy wear, but it was clean. The majority of the staff was wonderful…just one bad egg. The bell boys were very helpful and sweet. But, the thing that kind of saved it for me was the restaurant and bar staff. The rooftop and lobby bar staff were fun and attentive. But, I have to say, my waiter at brunch provided me one of favorite dining experiences ever.
