Great location and price is acceptable for the location. However, mildew in the bathrom is not acceptable. It is a bit older building, some rooms have terrible view. However, for a short stay in Manhattan, it is OK. Personnel is kind.

This is a basic hotel. Rooms are ok and clean. Bed comfortable. But air conditioning unit, bath tap / shower control and bathroom shelf in poor condition and sink plug not cleaned. The staff are very nice and helpful. It is very well located near Central Park.

The hotel really needs to update their saggy dated beds. We could not sleep all night because there was huge dip in the center of the bed that gave us back pain when we got up. We really only got the hotel to sleep at night and if we couldn’t even sleep properly at a hotel, there was no point staying at this one. Even though the hotel was mostly clean, their blinds were broken and I couldn’t close them, the curtains wouldn’t close properly and bed was in poor condition! It really defeated the purpose of us paying for a room to get a decent night’s sleep. Unless the hotel updates their broken, saggy and old beds, I would not be staying there again.

Nice rehab job. Web photo of lobby taken with wide angle lens makes it look spacious; not! A/C unit right next to bed froze me. Could have been installed an farther window. Although room had a micro fridge, the ice making section was encased with two inches of ice. No other amenities such as coffee maker. Only waste basket was in the bathroom. Shelf over bathroom sink was tilted forward and downward at an angle that made it useless. Lobby exit door to street and door between lobby and elevator area opened inwards. Fire hazard?

Great location between Lincoln Center and the Theatre district. Short walk to many subway lines. Our only complaint was the outdated mattress! It was old, wobbly, and you could feel the wire frame and springs.

The hotel was fine, and in a great location to go to a Broadway show. My only complaint is it was SO hot in our room. It had a window unit, but even at full blast, it was 78 degrees on a rainy humid August night.

Very disappointed
This room was very disappointing to me. Named the ECONOMY room, it looked like a converted broom closet. Exposed sprinkler pipes 4 feet above the bed just hanging there. The room was at least 100 degrees when I entered. The window AC unit was off. So after I pulled out the desk, i kneeled down on 2 bad knees to turn it on. The TV was unplugged, like the room hadn't been used in a while. So I figured I'd take a shower while the AC was cooling the room off, and the shower curtain rod was laying on the shower floor. Now for a hotel who charges 160.00 a night, you would think they could afford to install a permanent curtain rod for the shower. After trying to hang the spring rod at least 10 times, and having to rearrange furniture to turn the AC on, my back and knees had it. I couldn't take the pain anymore, so 3 hours after I checked in, I returned the card key and cut my trip short and headed home. But the girl who checked me in was very nice. But this room was very disappointing and subpar. 160.00 lesson learned. A good deal sometimes isn't a deal. What a waste of money.
