Great hotel for nyc stays
This is my go to hotel for NYC stays. Near the 7 subway, and the bus to and from LaGuardia airport. Also near the public library and the post office. Small rooms, but clean, and the coffee in tbe morning is good.

There are phones in the rooms but they're not usable even for toll free numbers. Only 1 iron & ironing board available for guests' use. When request made for heat in room staff gave a portable heater!

Room was basic but very clean, I wish there were temperature controls in the room as it was very rainy when we were there and a bit cool and a little bit of heat would help things dry out a bit. Staff was nice, it was nice to have a few basic breakfast items in the morning to grab before we left. Area is very walkable and also easy subway access to get where you need, and there's some great food in the area too.

The hotel was clean and easily accessible. We found parking for cheap in the basement of the mall and buildings that are attached to the John. At night I parked on the street in front w no issues. Staff was pleasant and kind.

We wanted a hotel within walking distance to Citibank to see a Mets game. For the price paid for this hotel it is not worth it. The front desk workers were not friendly. Did not even make eye contact upon check in. The hallway by our room smelled like fresh cigarette smoke. The room is basic at best. I found 2 dark hairs on bathroom floor upon walking in. The bed is as hard as a rock and they only provide only 2 pillows on queen bed. At 5:30 a.m. all we heard were people that were coming out of rooms and talking really loud. The doors and the walls must be paper thin. We heard the elevator ding constantly, and this started at 6 AM. It was OK to stay in one night because we just wanted to go to the baseball game. However, we would not do an extended stay here or highly recommend it.

Tired and hungry
When i arrived in NYC i phoned hotel bout how to unload (no area in front) and parking. Staff person could not offer any help. We ended up parking in traffic with emergency flashers and went inside where another staff person told us of parking 1/2 block away for $24.95. Hotel and room was very clean. It was very noisy on our floor with lots of talking and doors closing. There was very lil insulation between us and outside door. Could hear everything. At 7am the loud noise started outside as there was construction going on across the street. As far as breakfast, very little offerings with mostly bread and signs hanging Do not Waste food.

We had a great stay here - a neat and clean, conveniently located hotel which was an easy walk to Flushing's many stores & popular restaurants (& behind a local mall with food court and many cute stores). The area was busy in the daytime and seemed quite quiet at night. The subway line which took us directly to downtown Manhattan was also close by. It's a small hotel with all the basis amenities (shower stall instead of bathtub), hot water kettle, a good breakfast selection, water fountain at lobby and friendly staff. The wifi was a little slow and patchy though. The air conditioning seemed fine but we turned it off and open the window to enjoy the nice crispy air from outside this time of the year. Will come back when we next visit NY.

The hotel was average. The room was pretty clean, the beds were comfortable. The shower hardly had any water pressure so showers took a long time to rinse shampoo, conditioner and soap off. Complimentary breakfast was ok, nothing great. Noise was minimal.
