Great location but get a room with working AC!
Great location, comfy bed and a good shower. That said — the AC didn’t work and the room was alway around 79 degrees — HOT for an unusually warm fall weekend. Called down to have it serviced and the tech never made it to our room. Disappointed for the rate charged.

The entire staff, from front desk to restaurant employees, was magnificent. Friendly and efficient. Excellent coffee in the cafe. Room was a nice size by NYC standards, and the bed was very comfortable. Highly recommend.

I stayed at the Standard for the first time this weekend mostly out of convenience to be close to our NYU student. The location was great, but the room was terribly average — no tea or coffee in the room or a full length mirror? For a $500/night I expected a bit more. It also turns out they charged me for the laundry bag. I didn't realize you had to purchase it. When I mentioned the lack of coffee/tea to the front desk they told me you had to request it at check in and there was a fee!?!?!? Probably won’t stay here again since there is a lot of competition in the area with more upscale offerings for the guests. The front desk folks were friendly but the room in this price category is nothing special. I think they can do better!

I stayed fur my birthday and had a good time. I rushed my room were a bit bigger but I didn’t get the upgrade request so it’s okay. Overall, good hotel option!
