The hotel itself is nice. But it's the area it's in and the surroundings. The area looks like a ghetto, with undesirable people outside the hotel. The people outside the hotel - I don't know what they were - were noisy playing loud music till 3AM. I don't why the hotel can't do something about it.

The property itself is new, modern and clean. The rooms were great, though with very minimalist furniture (no drawers). The bathroom was big, clean with bright lights and had great all-cotton towels. The neighborhood is scetchy as it is adjacent to a big housing complex. But no one ever bothered me. Only food nearby is Wendy's and WingStop. Other places require longer walks. The 'F' line is an easy walk thru the housing complex and only 2 stops to Manhattan. The one BIG issue was when I left and asked for a taxi and was told by the front desk a fare that ended up being a limo and $10 more! One very unpleasant experience after a week of quite pleasant ones.

It Could Have Been Better
The hotel itself was fine. The room was clean and comfortable. What I didn’t like was I was put on the the 4th floor near the elevator when I specifically asked ahead of time for an upper floor (16 floors), away from the elevator. I also don’t like being in a handicapped room where the water gets all over the bathroom floor while taking a shower. When I asked the front desk why I was placed in that room, I was told that what I was assigned. The hotel was far from full.

Hotel was clean and really liked the breakfast. Also liked how strong the lights were in the front of the hotel at night, making me feel safe when returning. It's a convenient ride to Manhattan.
