Nice hotel for a local getaway
Enjoyed our stay. The property is well-kept. The room was nice - it had some excellent features like a nice shower and jacuzzi tub. The fireplace was electric and didn't give any heat. The bed was pretty hard. Some parts of the room didn't feel very luxurious, like plastic cups—this is wine country, not even a wine glass in a hotel room specializing in couple's getaways. The decor is a bit tacky with all the crystal and silver everywhere, but I guess that's the theme. One thing I did not appreciate is the stress of our arrival day. Our credit card had been replaced due to fraud between when we booked the room and our arrival date. So, on the day of our arrival, they weren't able to authorize the card when they tried early in the morning. They sent a threatening email at 9am saying if we didn't call them by 1pm our reservation (for that day!) would be cancelled. I travel a lot, I always pay all my bills... I understand they need to ensure they will get paid, but threatening to cancel the booking? I didn't appreciate the tone of their email nor giving us 4 hours to respond before they would cancel our reservation. What if I hadn't seen the email in time? They should have either sent a gentler first email, or simply phoned us. Dinner at the on site restaurant was good. The service was fast, courteous, and the food delicious. Probably the best restaurant in Niagara Falls. The lighting was a bit harsh with a spotlight over our table but overall we would return for dinner.

The Sterling Inn and Spa was the perfect place to spend a romantic night away. We were pleasantly upgraged upon arrival to a large room with a jacuzzi. The staff was pleasant, attentive and helpful. The breakfast in the morning was fresh and delicious. We also had a massage at the spa and it was a relaxing and perfect way to end the visit. Late checkout at noon is a nice feature too. We would totally stay again. Thank you!

Enjoyable and relaxing!
This was a first time visit to the Sterling Inn and Spa. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival and were pleasantly surprised by the room upgrade. The hotel staff were pleasant, professional and well-informed. We look forward to another return soon!

Exceptional hospitality
Amazing hotel with personable and attentive stuff. Warm and cozy environment; espresso machine and fireplace welcome guests in the lobby. Spacious rooms with a lot of charm, fireplace, beamed ceiling, a steam shower (so useful in a cold weather) and breakfast in bed. These little touches of luxury stand Sterling hotel apart of other “brand name” hotels.

So many great perks at this hotels and gorgeous spacious rooms. Because it’s hardwood you can hear every footstep on the floor above. But generally a quiet hotel. Some walls could be painted and shower tiles need the lime buildup cleaned. Bit doesn’t take away from comfy beds and good couch etc. breakfast was delightful—croissants were best ever! Close to everything in the Falls tourist area but back from the chaos of the main drag. Would stay again!
