First 5* hotel I have stayed in in mauritius with a preauthorisation charge. 6000 rupees upon checkin. Room poorly cleaned, touch points not clean and were greasy on the first night, shower drained slowly, no sauna/steam only a “salt room” which is chargeable Very cramped room and communal spaces. Old, probably used gym equipment. No turndown. Extortionate prices - making up for low room prices. No indication on menu as to how ordering works on different board basis. I had to ask. 25 minute wait to order food on first night. Asked twice - came second time I asked. Asked for late checkout. Told to check in the morning. Receive call to the room 2 hours later asking what time I am leaving tomorrow. Room cleaners spray chemicals all over the floor which left marks on my expensive slippers. Dinner menu is odd. No starter, main course. Small/medium/large - so food portions are rather large. Food however was delicious. No snacks in room. Day of checkout received a call 10 minutes before 11AM asking if I need help to checkout. Was already told I could checkout late the previous night by one of the managers. Akshaye - condescending when showing me that he was cancelling the preauthorisation. Spoke very abruptly when I was querying invoice items. Price reflects quality; this is most certainly not a 5* hotel and the rating is misleading.

Property was great, spacious and clean rooms. Ocean location, gated with security, very friendly and responsive staff and several small amenities that was a great addition. There was nothing to complain about the resort itself and would highly recommend. The only negatives were that they refused to upgrade me given that I am a gold member and this was a VIP hotel. I was told that I was upgraded given that our room was facing the parking lot. THEY LIED TO ME. The hotel sent me an email to upgrade to ocean view for a fee, of course. I had the full board package and on the day of check out I asked if we could have lunch since our flight was at 9:30 pm. They asked if I had lunch when we checked in to which I said yes. I was told that I had to pay for lunch on check out day. Felt that I was being nickle and dimed for what was otherwise a fantastic resort. Left me with a sour impression of the staff.

- Entry level 5 star hotel - Changed room upon check-in (sewer smell) - No Platinum upgrade nor amenities - Burnt my mouth with boiling espresso - Waiter served me bad and dropped a food plate on me - Gym is terrible, 1 treadmill, 2 bikes and an elliptical. These are very tired, these were probably bought used. - Staff are friendly and trying hard, but you can tell they have no training - Hotel is super remote, nothing much to do outside.

Lovely hotel
Great hotel. All inclusive with very good food ordered from a menu not from a buffet. Comfortable room with good shower. The hotel is small with nice grounds but no long walks along the beach as you soon reach the property next door. Perfect for our 3 day stopover en route to Australia

Superb facility, staff and amenities. Beautiful clean beach with negligible coral and stones. Safe surroundings and great French cuisine choices. The staff are there to satisfy your needs. Expedia status and benefits are not honoured and they were unaware that my booking was for All Inclusive- so I had to pay an extra 1000 Euros for breakfast and dinner for 7 days. It was difficult to contact Expedia to address this issue- they had not responded after 7 days to my concerns.

Good Value for money
Good Value for money. Considered design and focus on experiential travel. A perfect alternative to stuffy resorts dotted across the island. Still falls short on customer experience due to evident training gaps and lack of organisation but if addressed it could really stand out in a sea of mediocre luxury wannabe hotels on the island.
