It's a very old hotel & the stairwell is not that safe for older & physically challenged people. You just get the basic that an hotel would have to offer. The staff is extremely nice & knowledgeable about the area & what the city has to offer.

The staff was very nice, helpful and knowledgeable. Rooms are small. Staircase is dangerous when loading and unloading luggage from and into the elevator. Pricey for what you get.

Very good value hotel. Yes it’s a little old and rooms are small but as a base for exploring Paris it served us well for four nights. Convenient to the train station is a big plus. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Bed a bit worn out and not the most comfortable but not unbearable either. Cafe next to entrance was great. All in all we would definitely stay again.

Plumbing fixtures - shower falling off the wall. Need to climb half a flight of spiral stairs to go to room AC not working properly We got the worst rooms in the hotel with split bathrooms annoying when two people are in a room. AC did not work in room 201 worst room in 2nd floor so next 2 nights moved to room 319 again the worst room in 3rd floor and Ac still did not work well and had to open the window. Should have been warned about needing to climb stairs with luggage and split bathroom - would not have selected this hotel and room.

Its a great location, but not a great hotel. We requested the family room for five. It was clear we were shoved into a smaller room with cots placed in the open space. You couldnt move around the room without crawling on beds. We only had 4 pillows and 4 towels, so we needed one more of each. The front desk said they were all in the wash and not available until after 930 the next morning. We had to demand enough for all five of us. The hotel is tired, worn, and cleaning is basic at best. We stayed here before, years ago. We wont be returning.

Overall a good hotel with excellent connectivity and reasonable dining options until late night. Ease of commute to all the major attractions, buses, trains, metro, Eurostar all at doorstep. The hotel is decent enough for stay while you are out most of the day. The room size was good, good staff, overall happy with the hotel.

Beds were pretty uncomfortable and the shower didn’t have a curtain, so the bathroom would get pretty wet while showering. Also there was no AC, so we slept with the balcony door open and the surrounding area is pretty noisy. The safe in our room did not work. Definitely an older, more run down property, but was clean. Also, the staff was friendly, and the luggage storage was very convenient. Also the location in proximity to the train station makes it very convenient. Not the greatest hotel, but did the job.

Really liked the hotel for our Olympics experience. Right next to Gar du Nord station but very quiet. Really kind staff who spoke English with us. Would not recommend purchasing the $9 breakfast bc it is just store bought croissants, bread and boiled eggs. That being said, overall nice experience!

We felt safe in this place. It was across the gare du nord train station which can connect you to any place you need/want to go. Restaurant's were at a walking distance. Staff was helpful and spoke English.

Beware: Horrible Stay and No Help from Hotels.com
I strongly advise against staying at this hotel and want to warn everyone about the lack of support from Hotels.com or Expedia when the hotel description is misleading and dishonest. Upon arrival, the nightmare began. The chairs were dirty, the hotel lobby was filthy, and to make matters worse, there were bugs in the shower and mattress. And if that wasn't bad enough, there was hair on the towels. As if the uncleanliness wasn't enough, the hotel had an absurd policy: they took away our room key every single time we left the hotel, claiming it was for their safety. This meant that every time we left the hotel, we had to leave our belongings vulnerable to whoever was at the desk, feeling completely insecure and unsafe. It was not only uncomfortable to stay in such a disgusting room but also nerve-wracking to know our belongings were not secure. When we confronted Hotels.com customer service, their response was disappointingly inadequate. They provided little to no help, essentially saying, "they can do what they want and get away with it." They weren't even willing to inform future customers about the key policy so they could make an informed decision. This was absolutely disgraceful. We obviously had to leave the hotel due to all of this, and because of a no-return policy supported by Hotels.com, we lost all of our money. I will review that so-called policy to see if it applies to reservations done under false advertising. Be wary or a £50 compensation will be all you get.

I was on the 6th floor and it was very awkward to reach the room as there were 3 steps to climb coming out of the lift at an angle and with the luggage impossible to reach - quite unsafe !- When i arrived the receptionist helped me but not when I left- room quite small and very noisy - had to close window because of noise (facing station) but could not sleep well because it was too hot! Breakfast just ok- croissants good- coffee not good- proximity to the station helpful - staff pleasant enough

This is the dirtiest hotel I have ever visited in my life. The check-in time is 3 PM, but when we arrived at 4 PM, our room was still not ready. They sent us to another hotel, just a two-minute walk away, called Richmond Hotel. The room was filthy, with hair from previous guests all over the bed, toilet, and everywhere else. The bathroom was disgusting and incredibly dirty. The only positive thing about this hotel is its location. Avoid this place at all costs.
