Appalling/Awful Stay

This hotel does not deserve to be a 3 star at all. The B & B's are a lot better. If you call this a 3 star hotel then all Travelodges in UK are 5 star. Hotel and the room not clean, room was dark no day light. Mould in the bath tub. We did not get hot water in shower for 2 days. Made a complaint with reception but no resolution to the problem. The room's window/balcony door could not be locked, it was shut with support from the heavy sofa. Could not open the window/balcony door in the morning, had to also keep the curtains on/closed all the time since the hotel is under refurbishment and the construction workers are constatntly passing through. No sockets close to bed to charge mobile phones. Mirror and the sockets are far from each other, my wife could not use her hair straighteners. For a 3 star hotel they do not even provide Kettle for tea/coffee in room. No staff in the hotel apart from receptionist.

Bad Experience

The first thing we noticed was the lift to our room on the first floor. It only allows one person with one piece of luggage at a time, and was very claustrophobic. Our double room was tiny. The moment you open the front door you can see the bed. The toilet had a sliding "smoked" glass door, which gave absolutely no privacy to the person using it. If you were any way heavy, you would not be able to sit on the toilet, as the sink would prevent you. There was a permanent odour in the room, and nowhere to hang the towels you were using. There was very limited space for placing our clothes, and the shelf that we left them on was damp from a vertical pipe that ran down the wall. We reported this on the second day, and they said that it was condensation, but it was the pipe, and they agreed to give us a change of room to the 6th floor. Not in that lift, you would be mad. The location of the hotel is the only thing going for it. The breakfast room was so small, we could not enjoy the one breakfast we had there. We would not recommend this hotel, even if it was the last in Paris.

do not believe the pictures

The hotel is really in a rough area, dirty The hotel entrance is old and with dirty carpets the stairs are in need of painting, decorating and new carpets. It is all old and dirty The lift is very small and cannot fit with a luggage The pictures are very misleading. I would never recommend it.

What a d**p!

When the taxi arrived to the hotel I just wanted the driver to turn around and go straight back to the airport. People standing outside the hotel and in the area didn't make me feel good at all. Like we arrived in the darkest part of Middle East... Also the area as we were later heading to the Gare du Nord was a bit dodgy. I have to say though no one said a bad word to us and no one was even looking at us suspiciously. So it was only the impression and my bad prejudice. The hotel itself was simple but clean.Receptionist friendly, the Wifi was being repaired so we couldn't use it the first night but it was sorted out for the second. But it was sloooow. Very slooow. But free. If you ar claustrofobic and can't take the stairs look for a different hotel. Lift is thought for two persons. Just. two rugby player couldn't fit in. Maybe one with hand luggage. What the others say about dark corridors is true. Get your torch ready before you leave the lift. I was on the 6th floor where the corridor was wide enough for one person the most. As I got to the room it was OK. Clean. The shower room was tiny, almost couldn't sit on the toilet although I don't consider myself as a fat person, not at all. Shower could have done with a bit of TLC but did the job. There was a fridge for your convenience. Empty, so you can put your stuff in. TV was a flatscreen maybe 21". Can't say more about it as I didn't turn it on. Breakfast... served from 7-10. When I got there at 7 I was the first. They needed a few minutes to sort out the coffeemachine and 15#!!!# minutes to get water and orange juice ready. Variety isn't great but you don't starve to death. Continental. It doesn't have a restaurant and I was wondering what they serve at the bar if they do at all. Haven't tried though. Considering the price for the room and the location and the overall experience I wouldn't recommend this hotel to any of my friends. But if you are not so picky it might be a choice to consider as train station and a nearby metro station make it easy accessible from/ to the city.

Not Recommended

The hotel is in a rundown area of Paris and there are gangs of men on every corner. Not very nice when walking in the area in the daytime let alone the night time. It is very close to the Gare du Nord train station so access to travel routes is convenient. The hotel staff were less than helpful. The hotel was very small and the room was tiny, although it was clean. The bar was closed with a note to ask at reception for bar service, but we were told they had no drinks. The breakfast room is in the cellar but there was very little choice. The coffee machine was broken the first day and the food had not been replenished. Our booking included breakfast but the hotel were insisting on charging us 10 Euros per person per day. I refused to pay and had to contact the Agent on returning to the UK to sort this out. I would definitely NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.

Trip for two

The area looked a bit dodgy at first, but turned out not to be that bad. It's close to the Eurostar station and really close to a metro station. The hotel is smaller than expected, but was happy with the rooms and service. The breakfast was good, and the staff friendly. Good value for money.

Kolme tähteä on aika korkea tälle hotellille

Äänieristys hotellissa on hyvä, samoin sängyt. Netti toimii huoneissa satunnaisesti. Eli kaikesta tästä voi ehkä päätellä, etten mene tähän hotelliin toiste.
