Sweet cottage for summer in Charlevoix
Great week at this cottage in Charlevoix. We felt lucky to score a week during the Venetian Festival. Easy walk to town, easy drive to three beaches, great for day trips to Petoskey and Mackinac Island. Owner was easy to get in touch with, the house was clean, full of fun antiques and lots of extras. Would gladly stay again.

Super location with fenced yard for pets!
Our extended family of 8 enjoyed the Craftsman Cottage. The two air conditioners on the top floor were welcome in the August heat. Walking into town for dinner was easy, but we had several meals at home - the kitchen is well-supplied and has some modern updates. The host has anticipated what might be needed. The single shower was not a problem, even with 6 active young adults. Charlevoix is a lovely town with a variety of activities and restaurants but centrally located for day trips to Petoskey, Sleeping Bear, and Mackinac Island. We had a great vacation and would stay at the Craftsman Cottage again.

A Very Memorable Family Vacation
Our family stayed at the Craftsmen cottage the last week of June. We had a wonderful time. The cottage is very nice and well decorated. There were 10 people and 1 German Schnauzer in our party (6 adults and 4 kids between the ages of 12 and 6). There was plenty of room. The large kitchen and dining area worked out great for us. When not sightseeing we spent time on the front porch putting together puzzles, playing board games, or just plain relaxing. There are 4 bedrooms and the beds were very comfortable and the 2 full baths worked well for our group (we never ran out of hot water). The fenced in back yard is very spacious and the kids had a great time playing lawn games. Charlevoix is an amazing town on Lake Michigan. There are many sights to see, great restaurants, and beautiful scenery. Mackinac Island is an hour away and it too is worth the visit. The town's beaches are very nice and well kept and the kids and adults spent much time looking for the infamous "Petoskey" rocks. The Leitner's have succeeded quite well making their cottage comfortable for their guests. Thank you for sharing it with us.
