As a hostel, it fit the bill. There is a tram stop right outside the property, however do not be misled on a map by the closeness of the metro station. It is on a bridge literally 50 to 60 meters or so above the surrounding area. So, it is a difficult walk. The city center is about 20 minutes by foot. Also, parking is about 50 meters away. Other than that, everything was fine.

This place is a total dive. We were a group of 4 friends who stayed in several properties on our European holiday and this one was by far the worst. From the second we walked in the door we knew it was going to be bad. Check in took over 30 mins as he tried to tell us we hadn't paid and we would need to pay again even though we had told him we prepaid. Only after showing proof of payment from hotels.com and providing proof from my bank which showed payment did he finally admit it was prepaid. He then tried to explain the reason for wanting us to pay again was that he thought our phone number was Russian and (apparently) Russians are known for not paying. We are a group of Canadian and UK visitors. They stuck us in the attic where we had to climb about 200 steps with all our luggage. Breakfast is dire - it is served in a humid dungeon of a basement where the only staff member is a miserable old woman with unbelievable BO who just stares you down while you eat. The second morning we had to leave breakfast early as the heat and stench was so bad we couldn't bare it any longer. We had to share utensils as there were no more clean ones, and the breakfast consisted of some hot dog type buns, yogurt and mouldy oranges (see photo) I'm not sure how this place passed health inspections. The only good thing about this place is its location to the tram stop.

Great place for a great price. It's an easy walk to Central Prague. There is a tram stop out front. Breakfast is good too. For the cost you can't beat it.

Good location. Tram was under construction, but it was a nice walk along the river to downtown. Room was simple, but breakfast was good - we would definitely stay here again!

Decent room and price
Hotel is located down town, a good 30 minutes the old town although there is a tram stop right outside the hostel which is super handy. Also right by the train station vysrehad(?) Room was good, staff helpful. Shared bathrooms spotless.

Very reasonable-short tram ride to City Center.
Tasty, copious breakfast. Clean, well-maintained, dormitory-style (six private rooms per floor; shared shower/bath). Short tram ride from town; on metro line (up the hill). Wi-fi works. Sitting room on second floor: well appointed, comfy. English-speaking friendly staff.

Employees are very helpful and friendly. Overall, very much satisfied for the price we paid except the there's no elevator and the stairs are spiral for older people.

Great budget hotel
This is a great budget hotel. The one and only downside is that you are about 20-30 minutes from the Stockholm city center by public transportation. Everything else about it is great and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I would recommend Hotel Dialog to anyone looking for a nice, reasonably priced place to stay in Stockholm.

It is a pension not a hotel. The staf was amazing. The mannager was exellent. They made my stay very convenient. I LOVED THE PLACE. WERMLY RECOMENDED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just what I needed
Made this trip to look for a musical instrument (which I found, thankfully, in the 11th hour). All I needed was somewhere affordable, basic and conveniently located. I got all three at Beta Pension. I had my own room (tho with 4 bunks total). Free wifi, clean bathroom and shower on the same floor. The tram lets off virtually right in front of the building. There's a friendly bar in the same building on the ground floor. Czech beer is cheaper than water, and probably better for you too. (Warning to whiny non-smokers: it is like a pub should be and allows patrons to light up). Back at the hostel, there's a continental breakfast every morning in the basement from 8 til 10 in the morning (which I did not avail myself to till my last day). All told, a very positive experience; it's not the Waldorf, but I was very happy with the price I paid and what I received in turn.

I read reviews before I booked this hotel. Basically nothing more to add. Hotel is not in the city center. Tram 18 has stop has in front Beta and takes you to the city center. But it is not as frequent as other lines. Breakfast is really OK ( I don't don't know why people complain about that). Location of hotel is bad regarding noise coming from railway (from the back), Metro (from the top) and trams (from the front). For weekend stay as it was mine stay it is OK. I would come again.
