Specious and Beautiful

The condo was very clean and super well stocked. I enjoyed the neighborhood and our proximity to all the places I had planned to take our small kids to. There were some minor issues with the tv and fans, nothing major and the AC throughout was so great!

Great rental and well stocked

Awesome rental with good AC able to keep the whole unit nice and cool. Very well stocked kitchen and all the supplies for the beach. Lots of towels and having the washer dryer is great. The pool area is nice and the location is perfect. Would stay in this unit again if returned to the area.

Perfect place in Princeville

We enjoyed the property. Air worked great. Lanai was very peaceful. Kitchen had everything we needed. Only negitive was you could hear every footstep the guest made in the unit above. We will stay here again on our next trip here.

Great place to stay

This was the most comfortable location we stayed at while on a 2 week trip to Hawaii. The condo has everything you need and is very comfortable with a 3 head mini split HVAC system that works flawlessly. The king bedroom was so comfortable, and the livingroom and patios are equally spacious and comfortable. They do seem to have a parking issue here, the spaces are tight (read you will have trouble parking anything larger than a 4runner) and quite a few folks using them. We couldn't find a spot to park one night. We would still stay here again and loved the place.

The property location was perfect. Short 15 minute walk to the small shopping center, short drive to beaches on north side. Easy communication with management. Chickens are part of landscape and fun to watch.

Paradise found!

This place was everything! Perfect space for 2 couples, it has everything you you ever need as far as kitchen supplies and bathroom and beach towels. There are so many outdoor seating options to simply relax. Great area to just go for little walks every morning.

Mauna Kai Review

This is the fifth time we’ve visited Princeville and the first time for us to stay on the North shore. Options on VRBO were limited based upon the dates we were looking to book our vacation, and this unit wasn’t on the top of our list, but we booked it based upon our needs and availability. Overall decent experience. The unit layout is nice and large for a 2 bedroom. Older complex and all the units exterior look like they need to be refreshed with paint, etc. Had an issue with the freezer and reached out to the Management company and they said they’d address the concern, but never did. Also, there was an issue with the Master Bath shower as it wasn’t draining well and got worse during our stay. My wife ended up pulling out a massive (and disgusting) hairball out of the drain. You’d figure the cleaning crew would notice the drain issue during their cleaning process, but apparently not. Will we stay in Princeville again? Definitely. Would I book this unit again based upon our overall experience? No. PROS -Clean upon arrival -Nice décor -Good appliances -Safe location -Comfortable beds -Decent communication with Management CONS -Lower Level (and older construction) -No beach chairs or umbrellas provided -Lack of follow through with Management when we had a concern -Hairball

Wonderful Stay!

Amazing property! Super clean with all the amenities you need. The size was perfect for two couples and there was plenty of room for us to hangout inside while it was raining. Super nice and safe area with shops and beaches within walking distance. Property management came right over when we had a simple issue and were so nice! I would recommend this place to anyone, in fact we already have!

Princeville condo stay

We enjoyed our stay very much. Condo was as described and more. The kitchen has lots of appliances including a great Ninja blender perfect for fruit smoothies. Beds are comfortable and location is great, within walking distance to Annini Beach and Queen's Bath. We would definitely stay there again!

Quite, quaint and close to options for dining and shopping

Overall the experience was good. Pool was out of commission being renovated and we were not aware prior to arrival or upon confirmation of our upcoming stay. Path to beach was more of a trail to the beach then a path.

CONSTRUCTION NOISE ALL DAY

The unit above is being renovated. WE WERE NOT TOLD THIS BY THE PROPERTY MANAGERS BEFORE ARRIVAL. Skill saws, hammering, banging above our heads bolted us out of bed at 7:30 AM for the week and the noise was extremely loud all day and at times exceeded 100 decibels. It completely ruined or enjoyment of the condo.

Very disappointed in this property. There was a water leak before we got there, and the cleaning staff was still cleaning when we arrived. The dishwasher didn’t work, so has to wash dishes by hand. They did provide a credit due to the property not being up to par, however. The knobs on the stove were so worn, we couldn’t tell what the settings were, and found a friendly cockroach on the stove the morning we left. Eww. This was obviously either a timeshare or a vacation rental. The furniture was mismatched and dated, as were the bathrooms. This property definitely needs a remodel.

Cozy, comfortable and fun!

This rental is placed in a terrific, central location. Easy access to the shopping center along with beautiful strolls along the paths parallel to the golf course. The condo came equipped with all the standard kitchen items, along with a great blender for making smoothies. The condo has a nice feel to it. Big comfy sofa for watching movies at night. Beds were really comfortable. The gardens surrounding the ample outdoor seating areas gave an added sense of privacy. The pool is really large, great for laps and always at the perfect temperature. I would love to return to this rental in the future.

Perfect...almost!

This was a spacious, clean, comfortable condo unit. The very nice swimming pool and ping pong table are nearby. Views are of the well-kept, lush landscaping; no parking lot view. Only downside was the roofing work going on above us with air compressor roaring through the day, starting at 9:15 am, and the scaffolding in front of our unit. Wish we had been warned about this, I would have chosen a different unit if available.

Fantastic stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay al Jeff and Laurie’s. Their home was well appointed and well equipped with everything. Kitchen has everything as well as plenty of towels, beach towels, beach chairs etc. Home is nicely decorated and very comfortable. I however didn’t realize that there was no air conditioning and with the heat I personally was very uncomfortable (the fans just didn’t do it) but I’m a terribly hot person that over sweats so there lay my discomfort. Overall our stay was definitely a 5***** thanks

Wonderful Family Vacation in Hawaii

The condo was perfect. Super clean and in a great location. The owners absolutely thought of everything from spices in the cabinets, to board games and art supplies, to a cooler bag for your day excursions. Kauai celebration vacay

Mauna Kai 5A was a great family condo for my husband and I (celebrating a 50th Bday and our 25th wedding anniversary) and our adult children to call home base as we adventured the beautiful north shore of Kauai. A lovely spacious home—very comfortable. We like to cook and we found the kitchen well equipped. Our daughter found the beach right away and went there with her morning coffee. We enjoyed excursions to the lighthouse and several beaches and to kayak. Staying “home” was equally pleasant. When we needed emergency medical help, the care at Wilcox Hospital was excellent and Kauai Kahuna checked on us to see if there was anything they could do to help. We are so glad we stayed at Mauna Kai. ,:

Very Nice Condo

Clean and nicely updated. Excellent beds, linens and towels. Huge master bedroom and bathroom and very nice guest bedroom with bathroom . Well laid out attractive kitchen. Lots of cookware, dishes and cutlery. Nice living and dining room very well furnished. Perfect for two couples. No AC but well ventillated with ceiling fans in bedrooms, living room and dining room. Close to community BBQ and pool. Also has beach towels, chairs and boogie boards stored outside off the Master bathroom where there is also a washer and dryer. TV in living room has Netflix and lots of other entertainment options. We really enjoyed our stay.
