This hotel is way over hyped. “ Luxury Hotel” I have stay in the hotels all over the world and it’s pricey and just ok at best.. If the room thermostat wasn’t kept at 69 degrees “cold” humidity would come in the room and the floor would be soaking wet. A dam the towels on the outside of my door because if it rained at all water will go in the room… When trying to relax at the private “EDEN” pool the massage guys are as much of a pain in the ass as all the vendors on the public beach.. This was my third staying there and for what they charge I really question a forth time.. my first time writing a review, but there were definitely issues on my previous stays…

This was the second time we stayed at this property. We enjoyed it and had positive experience. minor issues is price of drinks at pool and beach and service was sometimes slow on the beach. We received massages from the hotel and they were GREAT!. Only issue that I don't think you can control is the beach merchandise sales.

I really enjoyed my stay at Almar, I stay there once or twice a year and the staff is very friendly and attentive from arrivals with Javier being very helpful and I enjoy the pool at Eden and Yair the server goes above and beyond to make sure you are completely taken care of and your stay is completely enjoyable, thank you for such a great experience! The staff and the facilities at the Almar Resort are terrific. I was treated very well and after very little time I was recognized by most of the staff. This is a resort that caters to a specific and special crowd and everyone I encountered tried his/her/their best to make my stay very enjoyable. If you stay at this resort be prepared to for a celebratory and noisy crowd and a noisy neighborhood since many of the surrounding resorts also cater to the LGBTQ crowd. Also, prepare to be offered a sales presentation that offers special services for those who decide to join, and be prepared to pay, in advance, for dining and drink charges that you might incur during your stay. These charges are not unusual, but being forewarned is being prepared.

This our second stay in this hotel and we had a great time. Staff are super friendly. Chris gave us the most amazing massages on the beach. It was very restful and entertaining.

Property really nice, had a great room with a nice sea view, infinity pool really nice with fantastic sunsets. Pool staff really good. Reception welcome not so good, so many rules to go through then after that your passed onto the concierge welcome who try to schedule you to buy timeshare. Not great after travelling a day and half. Reception team on checkout quite rude. But overall hotel nice, food good.

I loved the staff. Very helpful and went out of their way to help. What I DID NOT like was them immediately trying to sell us a time share. We were not there 10 minutes. She went as far as asking me what i did for a living, which to me is none of her business. All we wanted to do was to check in and start having a good time. The entire time we were there on the third floor, it smelled like mold in the hallways. Our floor got extremely wet after using the hot tub so we only used it the one time. and we were there 5 days. However the front desk did send someone to mop and they told us not to turn up the air conditioning over 22 c. Which was really cold, I do want to be very clear how very helpful ALL the staff was and honestly the most pleasant and helpful than any where i have ever stayed.

My stay at Almar Resort in Puerto Vallarta was incredible. The resort offers stunning ocean views, luxurious rooms, and top-notch amenities. The Mantamar Beach Club was a highlight, with its infinity pool and excellent service. Dining was a delight, with delicious food and attentive staff. Its prime location near the Zona Romántica made it easy to explore local shops and nightlife. Overall, Almar Resort provided a perfect blend of relaxation, luxury, and adventure, making it one of the best vacations I’ve ever had. Highly recommended!

Overall we had a great stay. Comfortable bed, good A/C, good service at bars and pools. Some construction noise during the day, but we weren’t there that often. The beachfront would be awesome, but you spend the entire time telling vendors you don’t want to buy anything. That’s not an issue for Alma’s though. That’s just PV. The pools were fun and nice to have the pool party vibe at Mantamar and the more relaxed atmosphere at Eden. All onsite staff were very friendly. Great experience.
