Beautiful, atmospheric hotel in lush countryside

Pros: The food in the hotel restaurant was really special. The chef serves produce from the hotel grounds, wild herbs, local wines and olive oils.
Location: You can easily spend a week just relaxing. There are hiking trails and you can visit the local monastery. To go further afield you need to hire a car.
We had a wonderful time staying at Kapsaliana. Everything was fantastic, the room, the food, the beautiful view from the pool of olive groves stretching down to the sea. What's now a hotel used to be the olive mill and cottages attached to the nearby Arkadi monastery. The ancient buildings are beautiful and very atmospheric. The grounds are full of flowers and fruit trees.
