Last minute decision, very happy we chose here.
Great stay, the staff were so very kind and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was great, lots of variety and even when we left super early in the morning for the airport, they offered coffee and coissants to go.

Excellent Hotel
I loved this hotel and would stay here again!! Checking in was easy and the staff was polite, personable and friendly. The room was clean, comfortable and functional. You have to put your key card in a slot in order to turn on the lights! The room was thermally heated. I was on the first floor and even though there is a road past the parking lot, it was very quiet. The bathroom was clean and everything worked perfectly, The free breakfast was great and offered many choices of food and drinks. There is a bar in the lobby with happy hour from 4- 7. There is a great pizza restaurant next door and a vegan restaurant which I did not try. If you book travel through Flybus or BusTravel, they pick you up right at the front door. I highly recommend Reykjavik Lights!!!

I love this hotel, but…
Check in is 1500 with a 30 euro early check in fee. Coming from not Iceland, I was on a red eye. I arrived at like 0600. I cannot be the only person coming from abroad with an overnight flight. They had a room all ready to go for us; zero extra work required. I’m not sure why accommodations aren’t made for overnight travelers if the rooms are ready anyway. Otherwise this hotel is great! It felt clean and comfortable. The breakfast is on point, the staff is super friendly and helpful (except on the fee issue), and it’s not too far from city center. Highly recommend staying here. After 1500.

The hotel is very well run. The staff are extremely friendly. We experienced a noisy neighbour and they were very empathetic and helped us to resolve the issue. They went the extra mile by gifting me a lovely note and chocolate for my birthday! Very easy access to your bus pick ups and convenient bus stop across the road into the centre. Breakfast was good and well organised

A great option, especially if you have a car! It is lovely, clean and comfortable hotel. For a small fee, the hotel was able to accommodate a very early check-in for us (at 8am!). The breakfast was lovely, kept us full and helped save on the cost of food. The staff were lovely and very helpful in answering our questions about tours and activities to do in the area. It's a good place to stay (only 10 minutes from the centre of the city) and a covered car park also allowed us to enter the hotel without getting wet or worry about having our car covered in ice/snow.

Only stayed for a night, but the staff was so accommodating and allowed my partner and I to check in to a room earlier than our time, and gave us the option to serve us breakfast with their package. It was thoughtful and nice of them because of the long flight we had. Breakfast was good, and the room was very cozy.

First day in Iceland
We stayed here our first day in Iceland. We arrived at 5am Iceland time, got our car and drove to Reykjavík to this hotel. We were exhausted and had nowhere else to go and since it was only 7:30am not check-in time yet. I took a chance and went in anyway to see if it would be possible to check-in early. The gentleman at the desk checked and said that would be no problem. He suggested we drop our luggage off and come down for a complimentary breakfast before laying down for a few hours. What a lifesaver! It’s fair to say it set the tone for our whole trip. The Icelandic people are truly kind and generous.
