Very comfortable and squeaky clean, rooms are really comfortable. Right in the heart of Salt Lake City downtown next to convention center, so very convenient. They needed more staff at the front desk in daytime because the one guy was overwhelmed by all the people waiting, resulting in very long line.

Wonderful hotel experience in downtown SLC.
We stayed at the AC one night over Labor Day weekend. The clerk who checked us in was very friendly and had great recommendations for places to eat, get a latte, park, etc. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet. The bar in the lobby had a small but varied menu of small plates, just what we needed for dinner after eating way too much at a late lunch. The bartender was friendly and made a delicious cocktail. I can't say enough about the breakfast--- best I have ever had a a hotel. The buffet held various meats, specialty breads, mini quiches, a variety of fresh fruit and more. The waiter offered to make me a latte, but they did not carry alternative milk products, so I had to pass. My only negative was the lighting in the bathroom--not conducive for women trying to put on makeup. Other than that minor concern, we had a wonderful time and would definitely stay there again.

Rude staff
The hotel was nice and the location was good. The problem we had was the staff was extremely rude. We went for breakfast the morning we were leaving and the staff treated us like we were an inconvenience. We had our bags a were trying to locate our breakfast vouchers. We were able to locate one but couldn’t find the other. My husband was going to go back to the room to check for it but the staff was super upset and forced us to pay $15 for the fruit we put on a second plate before they would let us leave. They treated us like we were trying to steal their food when we were clearly staying there. We just paid and left without finishing our food because we were so offended.

We arrived late (we called to let them know in advance), and they had given away our two queen room (it was a family of four; my wife was not please about a sofa bed). The building is great, the breakfast was solid
