The hotel is very clean. While I very much like contemporary designs, I found this hotel's old-style decor charming. The shower had good water pressure, was easy to regulate the temperature, no leaks (something I had issues with at other places) Check-in and check-out were quick and smooth. I enjoyed the restaurant—the breakfast omelettes were nice, the atmosphere was pleasant, and it wasn't crowded. **Reasons for giving 4 stars instead of 5:** - Sounds from neighboring rooms were way too clear. - I requested assistance with the in-room coffee maker, which was not working, but no one came.

Check in staff were abrupt. Building is beautiful, location was wonderful for our trip. Room was small but had everything we needed. Bed was wonderful. AC didn’t cool the room down.

The hotel is right next to the convention center and VTA with lots of dining options nearby. The hotel was previously the historic St. Claire. Its well appointed and the staff is great. Our only complaint is the noise from the Street at night. Motorcycles must use one of the streets as a dragstrip and unfortunately the older building does not keep the noise out
