The bed was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. The desk staff was polite. The building was rather dingy and not very clean. The second floor hallway smelled of cigarette smoke and then later of pot.

This property was not up to the Best Western standards I have experienced other places. The room was of adequate size but a chair had been removed so that the only place to sit was at the desk. The bathtub had mold on the grout. The entry door had hall light visible all around it. Hall and surrounding rooms were noisy.

I left a review on Google, see below. I truly would not ever choose to stay here again. “ ***Please read FULL review*** Thank you, Donna, for the best check-in experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. Donna went above and beyond for us. She was very kind and welcoming, she made us feel at home after traveling all evening. As far as the hotel/location, Before you book this hotel, I strongly suggest looking at the area and not coming solo. My boyfriend picked up Waffle House (maybe 3 mins away) at 1AM after we arrived here and there was a guard with a gun because of the area. I’ve been to many Waffle Houses before but never heard of this. The room/hotel.. I’m not sure if there is AC in the halls, it felt like a sauna. The curtains are stained and dirty. The floors and walls are as well. My face wash fell off the counter and I went to pick it up, I noticed that the floors had not been cleaned or swept in a while. The brand new bottle was covered in black hair - I have attached two photos of this. The hotel has been very full lately due to the hurricane victims and being so close to the airport. I understand this but hotel management needs to do a better job at training cleaning staff or inspecting the cleanliness of rooms when they are this booked. The sheets, pillows, and towels were clean. AC inside of room did work and the shower was great. I gave 5 stars for Donna and her excellent customer service. I also believe the cleanliness could be due to the fact of how packed

We got to the property at midnight. We booked through a third party, but the payment didn’t not link up with our stay. The man working the front desk said we would have to fix by morning or, his exact words, be kicked out of the room. We went to our room, called the third party, and was on hold off an on for an hour. Finally the third party said the problem was the front desk of the hotel would NOT answer. So, they couldn’t verify that the payment went through. I went to the front desk, he was sitting there next to the ringing phone. I told him to please pick up and verify so he wouldn’t kick me out!!! My mother in law was booked at the same hotel. Her air conditioning unit caught fire. She was unharmed, but moved to a room where the lamps didn’t work and the remote would not work either!! This was my first and last time at a Best Western!!!

Needs Improvement
My softball team has been staying there for about 10 years now. The motel is definitely in need of remodeling as it is starting to look run down. The bathroom fixtures and room lamps were very old and needs replacing.
