When checking in we were told our room was ready but when we went to our room , house keeping was still cleaning the room. I was not upset at all because I understand these things happen. The house keeping women told us that it would be about 5 more minutes. So I waited another 15 minutes before checking again. However, she was still cleaning the room. Again I was not upset so I went back down to the lobby to wait. As I was waiting, the front desk attendant offered to upgrade me free of charge to a better room that was ready. I took him on his offer.
Later that evening my wife and I went out for dinner only to return and our key card not to work. When I went to the front desk , the attendant interrogated me as if I wasn’t the person who checked in to the room. He proceeded to tell me that he previously checked an older couple into our room and they said that their were people’s stuff already in the room and “a man with a gun” was in the room. The front desk person thought the old man was joking but wasn’t sure.
When I asked to speak to a manager, there was no manager on site. He was on the phone the entire time.
This place is extremely unprofessional but has great potential. Also there were dirty towels and bedding in the room.
