SUMMARY
Tucked away in the hills of Santa Fe's charming and historic east side, Casa Carmen Zia is an authentic adobe from the turn of the 20th Century. Updated with classic Santa Fe plaster while leaving some richly colored clay walls in place, this home is bursting with authentic Southwestern style.

LIVING AREA
The open living space serves as the hub for all of the home’s other rooms. The raised sitting area features a classic wood-burning stove and entertainment center. Additional seating is available in the sunken portion of the living space.

KITCHEN AND DINING
The raised formal dining space seats six and leads to the fully-equipped kitchen. Featuring stone countertops and stainless steel appliances, this is the perfect kitchen for a home cook.

BED AND BATH
All three bedrooms are off of the living room. The primary bedroom features a king bed and a large bay window that overlooks the private backyard. The en-suite bathroom also connects to the kitchen. One guest bedroom features a king bed and an en-suite bath, and the other has a queen bed.

OUTDOOR SPACE
There are two phenomenal outdoor spaces: one covered portal for warm summer days in the shade, and a backyard deck. A gas grill allows you to cook and dine outside so you can maximize your time in these captivating spaces.

PLEASE NOTE:
- AT&T cell phone reception is poor in the house as it is in most of Santa Fe, off the plaza. All other providers are fine in the home once connected to the home's wifi.

- The fireplace is available from October 15th - April 15th
- This home is NOT pet-friendly. Our cleaning staff reports pet hair to us after each checkout. Any unauthorized pets will result in a $1,000 fee.
- All-wheel or four-wheel drive is recommended when renting this home in the winter months.

Lovely Property

My 3 adult children and I spent a week in Santa Fe and Los Alamos this July. Having a 'home', rather than hotel rooms, makes for a much more comfortable stay. Two Casitas is just what we hoped it would be. Perfectly clean and well equipped, We would recommend it.

SANTA FE GEM!

We had a perfect stay at Casa Carmen Zia! Tres Amigas-friends since high school- spent a week in this fabulous getaway in May! The house is exactly as pictured, with comfortable furniture and extra comfortable beds. We appreciated the beautiful handrails and the attention to detail throughout the house. We loved the welcome chips, salsa, coffee and biscochitos! With three gathering areas, there's ample room to spread out and enjoy indoors, outdoors and the covered patio. Our one blip of the week occurred upon check in, as the earlier rains had swelled the front door a bit and we could not open it. Our call to the emergency number was answered swiftly and the on call manager, Ariana, arrived within minutes to help us. The next day, a handyman was dispatched who smoothed out the door and rehung it. And as long as we remembered it was a push--not a pull- front door, we were golden! This house is in a great location to enjoy all that Santa Fe has to offer.

Loved the house

3 couples stayed & we were happy with location, great outside area to sit & visit. 2 large bedrooms with bathrooms, 3rd is smaller & bathroom must be shared with another bedroom. Welcomed us with a bottle of wine & blue corn chips, salsa & water which was a pleasant surprise. Will definitely stay again when visiting next.

Spectacular Host and Property

We were blown away by how nice this property was!!!! The home is decorated beautifully and the amenities were great. We came as a family for a ski trip and the house sits right off of the main road to go skiing. The property manager puts an extra effort in to make you feel welcome and were easy to get on the phone for questions. The home was very clean on arrival and the beds and pillows were great. Can’t say enough about how happy I was with this rental!!! Thanks again.

Santa Fe beauty

The house is beautiful including very interesting artwork and artifacts and the location was perfect. We were at an event at Upaya Zen Center which is just a few minutes drive from it, and also just minutes from the plaza. Beds were terrific, kitchen was lovely and fully equipped and neighborhood very quiet. We would definitely stay there again.

Fabulous property!

Outside of property--small-looking adobe--does not tell the story of the interior. Two master bedrooms, large baths with walk-in showers, everything so CLEAN and organized (wish my kitchen at home was as well-equipped), and QUIET! Beds had comfy, firm mattresses. Perfect place to return to after day of shopping and sight-seeing in Santa Fe!!

Best beds, fab patio, walk to hiking!

This was an incredible place for a week with friends. The mattresses are delicious, kitchen extremely well stocked, patio a lovely place to enjoy the ski even when cold out. A lovely 25 minute walk in the morning got our early am crew to a great coffee shop. Super fast drive (5mins) or east walk (25 mins) to amazing trailhead.

Perfect!!

This house was perfect for our family! The beds are so cozy, the bathrooms are beautifully remodeled, and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to prepare a meal! Easy to get to town or ski Santa Fe. The house is tucked away in a Quiet beautiful neighborhood. It’s perfect for a family with children but It basically has 2 master bedrooms so it would be perfect for 2 couples too!

Spacious home with lovely deck

We enjoyed our stay at Casa Carmen Zia. The home was well furnished and roomy. The Welcome treats from the property manager were a nice touch, very thoughtful. The description was a bit misleading though, it was not an "easy downhill walk" to the Plaza, it is 1.5 miles to the Plaza. And renters should be informed that the house is in a rural area, off a gravel road. The driveway had no lighting, so it was hard to see at night. A few things did not work properly: the bathroom heater and ice maker were broken, and we could not get the standalone fireplace to work, despite following the instructions. Also, it seemed there was always a delay in getting answers back from the property manager, perhaps they were short-staffed. But all in all, we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

Perfect stay

Property was even better than expected. It was very comfortable, clean and especially loved the furnishings and decorating. The owners did an excellent job of communicating with us, letting us know the status of the cleaning crew before we checked in. They were also so kind to leave us a welcome gift.
