This home is set in the beautiful wooded area of Holly Forest I in Sapphire Valley. It is a great location for golfing, hiking, fishing, and everything outdoors, shopping, restaurants and just enjoying the mountains of western North Carolina. Cashiers and Highlands N.C. are close by for shopping, art fairs, outdoor concerts, and restaurant dining.
Upon returning from an active day, you can sit on the screened porch and enjoy a cocktail while grilling on the outside deck. During cool evenings, an outdoor fire in the fire pit is perfect for making s’mores. In the colder months, make a fire inside and cook in the fully equipped kitchen. Watch sports or movies on any of the three TVs. And finally, fall into bed in either the downstairs master or one of the two upstairs bedrooms. In the summer you can listen to the sounds of cicadas and crickets as you are lulled to sleep, ready for the next day of fun!
Along with this rental, you can purchase an adult guest pass for $6 for 3 days which gives access to all the amenities of the Wyndham Resort at Fairfield Sapphire Valley. Enjoy reduced fees at the Sapphire National Golf Course. There are also tennis courts, two heated pools and hot tubs, a sauna, exercise room, an outdoor pool, a nine hole golf course, putt- putt and more. There are paddle boat and canoe rentals at Fairfield Lake and pontoon rentals at nearby Lake Glenville. In the winter there is a small ski slope and tubing area available. Additional days are offered for $2 a day and children are free.
Built in 2011, The approx. 1750 square foot, 3 Br, 2-1/2 bath house is 1 and 1/2 stories. The open floor plan features a living area with vaulted ceiling and fire place. This area opens to a dining area and a modern kitchen with granite counter tops and bar with seating for 3, stainless appliances, gas range and cook top, dishwasher and large capacity refrigerator. Rustic wide plank pine floors run throughout main level. The large master bedroom with en suite are on the main level. Master bath has two sinks, large soaker tub and tiled shower.
From the dining area, sliding glass doors open onto large screened porch and grilling deck. The screened porch is great for an afternoon relaxing with a book or an evening just listening to the crickets.
There are lots of windows on both floors. The two upstairs bedrooms feature triple windows with a great view of nature. They share a nicely appointed bathroom.
The property itself is filled with large hardwoods, white pines, Rhododendrons and Mountain Laurels. Large mostly flat area at the side of the house is great for yard games or a first camping experience for your toddlers. There is ample parking for four cars.
