The check-in process was easy. The suite was very spacious! We enjoyed our double balcony access. We had a gorgeous view of the beach and pool area. There was plenty of water sports activities and dining in the area. 2 min from the airport and car rental places also was a plus!

Very nice ocean front room, super clean everyday, staff did awesome job. The reason to take off one star is the Expedia rooms suck, hey are on first floor, no view of ocean and no true balcony, it's a ground level patio. But the resort upgraded us to a normal balcony room on the north floor. Important do not book these rooms thru Expedia, you will get the worse possible room, instead book directly with the resort.

2nd time, will there be a 3rd?
2nd time at resort. Took 4 times of calling to get clean towels. Maid took dirty towels but never replaced them. Gotten eaten alive by mosquitos and other bugs on the 1st floor. Last time was on 3rd floor with no bug issues. Will only book again if they can guarantee not being on bottom floor. Had serial smokers above us with balcony door opening every 30 mins from 3am to 8am. Wish they had a non smoking wing for people who are sensitive to cigarette smoke. Bartenders and beach bar are great.

Weve gone here 12 times and have always had a great time.It was our 15th anniversary and expected a decent room but they put us on the 1st right next to the sidewalk, absolutely no privacy.I asked for a better room but he said he cant and the best he could do is move us up to the 2nd. Later that night I went back and talked to a different person and he said sure no problem and put us on the 5th. The second issue is the rudeness of the guests who go out between 7-8am and put towels on the pool chairs then leave. We watched close to 20 chairs every morning being hoarded and then watched the people go back to the rooms or go down to breakfast for a couple of hours. Every morning there were 20 chairs locked up for 3 hours before anyone even used them...200 same paying guests being inconvenienced so 20 rude guests can have a good time and have a chair whenever they want it....

The resort is well maintained, always plenty of staff ready to assist with beach chairs and drinks. There is security on site and plenty of food options to choose. We enjoyed the piano bar as well! We preferred having an ocean view so chose a junior suite in the villas. We loved morning coffee on the lanai! We will be back.

We have have stayed at the The Villas at Simpson Bay Resort a handful of times and it is the only place we will stay at when we visit St Maarten. Everyone is so helpful and friendly. We ate at every restaurant they offered, and we were not disappointed. We took advantage of the little store there as well. Cant wait to visit again.
