This stunning home's great Black Butte location, near the Glaze Meadow Recreation Center, is a sure-fire recipe for that next memorable family vacation to Central Oregon. Glaze Meadow 42 is a comfortable rental with a large kitchen with granite countertops, a wood-burning fireplace, and plenty of space that the whole family is sure to appreciate. When it’s time to play, this home has a Ping-Pong table and bikes that can be used to explore the miles of paths throughout the resort. Have a soothing soak in the private hot tub and spend sunny days out on the large back deck.

This home is just steps away from the Glaze Meadow Recreation Center, offering guests easy access to indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness center, and tennis courts. The resort also offers miles of paths to hike and bike, a lake for kayaking and paddleboarding! The charming, western-themed town of Sisters, with its fun shops and great restaurants, is just 10 miles west of the resort. And for skiing and snowboarding in the winter, the Hoodoo Resort is a short 20-mile drive east.

Family retreat
The home allowed all 12 of us space to play and relax. We loved the outdoor patio and spent a great deal of time there. The proximity to the rec center, pickle ball, tennis courts, pools, and play area was perfect for our group. We did notice that there were a few issues such as broken glass in the dishwasher and on the kitchen floor, a broken face plate on the downstairs bathroom sink cabinet, vegetables that had been left by previous renters was and were beginning to rot in the garage refrigerator, tape was on the walls (it seemed that the previous renters may have had a party and used tape to hang banners but forgot to remove the tape once the party was over), and lastly an odd assortment of items was found beneath the master bedroom bed (aerosol can, uneaten rice cake, etc). The dead bolt on the front door was well functioning however the latch on the doorknob of the front door fell out of the door landing on the entry way floor. We were able to re-insert the latch and secure it so that it worked well for the remainder of our stay. The air conditioner did not seem to keep up with the need, thankfully the outside temperatures did not exceed 80 degrees. We did consult the manuals in the house but nothing was present to inform us on what we needed to do to adjust the thermostat (other than turn the temperature down to low) and still we were not able to maintain a comfortable inside temperature.

Ok but needs some love
Let me start by saying Akin was wonderful. Clear, helpful communication. The house itself was fine but didn’t match the photos. There was insulation in the heating vents that looked like it had been put there by critters. Had to remove it to get the air to flow. There was a hole in the wall of the main bedroom. Had to work for about 20 minutes to clean off the cooktop so the house wouldn’t smell like burnt food. There were some basic amenities missing (paper towels, dishwasher detergent) but Akin was great about reimbursing us for these. Overall, it needed a deep clean and some repairs. Still, a good size for two families and a good location.

Great location, good house for a guys golf trip.
Served its purpose, great location across from Glaze Meadow pool. Slept 8 in individual beds just fine. Easy to find and plenty of parking. Pretty typical BBR rental.

The house was smaller than expected, noisy and creaky but close to the pickle ball courts, spa and playground. Hot tub nice, fireplace good. This is why I would classify it as adequate, nothing fancy.

The home is old and it shows. Not clean, appliances were broken. Hot tub did not heat up and had broken jets. Toaster has tin foil for a handle. The TVs have no remotes with no cable. A roku TV upstairs has no speakers or sound. The tub upstairs was filmy. The frying pans had grease and pieces of meat still in them. The resort would not allow kayaks to be rented for 2 days. We liked the space of the home but WAY overpriced.

Perfect location for week at the mountain
Love Black Butte and this house was cozy. We will definitely go back. Spent a week at the home, going up to hoodoo 3 times. Loved how quickly we were able to get on the slopes. We're going to return to see the ranch in the summer as I'm sure it's beautiful then as well.

Black Butte Home
I liked the location and the size of the home along with the hot tub and they had several puzzles to play with. The only thing i didn't like was the hot tub guy came to the house on our last full day and didn't say anything and started cleaning and shocking the hot tub. We went in later that night and my husband and I had itchy skin from the chemicals he put in earlier. Also i emailed them asking about bikes and a pack n play and never heard back from them. The house also wasn't as clean as we would have liked with all that's going on right now.

Great weekend in Black Butte!
This house is the perfect location; right across the street from the pool, Pickleball courts (and Tennis) and a playground. Our whole family loved it. Great deck space to be outside and eat as a large group.

The place was great. There was not a letter explaining where things are. There was not even a contact number. We missed out on the grill and hot tub for one day until we discovered the garage. Frustrating at best

Guy's Weekend
Property has lots of beds so everyone had a place to sleep. It's located across the street from the Glaze Meadow facility which is great but the house is very much "on display". Furnishing in the house are a bit "tired"... main dining room table was broken when we arrived but property management was very prompt in getting it fixed. House was a good value.

Great location
Love, love the proximity to the weight room and tennis courts and it was far enough away from other homes to be able to talk in the hot tub without feeling like we would disturb other vacationers. Décor is straight out of the 1990’s and had a great floor plan for a large group. Lots of seating in the main living area and the children had their own play space in the in the loft area upstairs. If you like make puzzles bring your own…regardless of the missing puzzle pieces, we will be back to Black Butte and rent this home. We loved it!!!
