Zedwell Piccadilly 1 night stay

Great stay, quiet room - very helpful team at reception. Hotel has a 24hr gym (£10 day pass) and on-site cafe open from 08-18:30 when I was there, so more amenities than I expected for a pod hotel. The room had a waterfall shower, working Aircon and made good use of the space so it felt roomy, even without windows/natural light. Bed was comfortable and I had a great night's sleep

The rooms are very dark. There’s no TV for when you want to relax and just watch television. I know people travel to go on holiday but we were there for something other than holiday the glass of see-through so if you’re with your family, it’s hard to take a shower you have to turn off all the lights and use your cell phone light to shower.

Excellent hotel in a brilliant location, just steps from Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square, Chinatown and all the West Emd theaters. I can’t believe it’s the first time I’ve stayed there. As a frequent London visitor I’m always looking for a good hotel. I’ve now found my go to option moving forward. Also, very economical!

This property is in a fantastic location! The tube stop is super close to the hotel, you walk out of the hotel and you're in the middle of piccadily. It is however pretty basic inside, no windows - no wardrobes - no chair in the room, it almost feels a bit like a prison cell... We used the cafe downstairs and the service was pretty poor, expensive too (as you can imagine) and not a lot to chose from. The location definetly makes it for this hotel - if you picked this hotel up and moved it further out of piccadily it wouldnt even be worth 2 stars.

If you're looking for a cost-effective option in central London, Zedwell Piccadilly might catch your eye – but it's a mixed bag. The location is convenient, tucked away just off the main street, though the entrance gives a less-than-ideal first impression. It felt a bit dirty and chaotic, with a lot of noise. Our experience with the service was disappointing. We arrived an hour before check-in and were told we'd need to pay extra for early access to the room – which we declined on principle, as it was already vacant. When we asked about leaving our bags, we were told it would cost £15 per bag. With seven bags in total, that felt excessive. Despite being offered a "deal," we opted to carry our luggage around London instead, which was frustrating and inconvenient. It’s a stark reminder of how hotels today seem more focused on profit than hospitality. As for the room, it was basic but aligned with what we expected. It had two double bunk beds and no windows, which wasn’t a surprise. However, none of the plug sockets worked, and two bed lights were broken. Credit to the maintenance team, though – they were friendly and fixed the issues within an hour. Overall, Zedwell is fine for a short stay if you're looking for a budget-friendly, central location and don't mind making some sacrifices in terms of comfort and service. Convenient, but basic – and definitely not the best experience.

the hotel is in a great area, we didnt hear anything when in the room. biggest complaint is, they never changed our bedding, took the dirty towels, never changed out the trash. rooms are smaller than advertised and, there is no bathroom privacy.

This time the rooms weren’t very clean, got woken up by staff because they wanted to know if we had a garbage can in the room. You have to pay for storing bags which wasn’t the case last year. They have reduced staff compared to last year as well. The quality of customer service is dropping

Loved the hotel. But if you go as a couple you better be ready to go to the bathroom behind a glass wall in front of each other!

The rooms are very compact (even those with four double beds don't have much space). Space is not the only thing missing from rooms, there's no TV, fridge, kettle, safe, hair dryer, iron or drawers. In fact, you are really only getting a shower, toilet, sink, bed and wifi. If you just want somewhere to sleep and shower then its perfect.

Nice and clean place. Room doesn’t have TV, dust bin, telephone, tissue box, microwave and mini fridge. Very hard to communicate with the front desk from the room. Very loud music from neighbor building and no sound proof. Clean place and very convenient, walkable distance to many tourist places and restaurants. 5 star for the clean building and property. It’s kinda hard to find the hotel for first time visitors, it’s hiding behind lot of businesses. Humble front desk staff!!!! I enjoyed my stay.

Close to perfect but ...

Great location, ample space and friendly staff. Clean room, no TV but this didn't matter to me as I had laptop. Towels were replaced but bed uade. Not sure if an error or service on offer. I was in a single room but bed was double size with ample space. Not sure if standard or I was upgraded but that was really nice. Only problematic bit for me was the fact that I could not switch off the mirror light in the bathroom and I sleep with the lights off, so I found the glare through the glass door irritating. That and that as a guest you have to pay £15 to leave your luggage if you have a late flight but check out in the morning.

Unwelcoming check in

Check in lady was very cold, unwelcoming and clearly gave me a room that was least desirable next to a lift at the entry to the floor. Other than that, room was good and location is great. I’d stay again. Just don’t expect a welcoming reception
