Stowe itself was wonderful—a refuge from the hustle and bustle. The Field Guide Lodge (FGL) was our refuge within the refuge. The FGL felt like home with all of the amenities and fantastic views of the foliage from our room. The fireplace warmed us at night. The freestanding tub provided refreshment and revitalization from our outings. The king size bed and blackout curtains provided peaceful rest. Our suite made it feel is though we were apart from the rest of society able to focus on each other and our adventure—free from distraction. That stated, we were within easy walking distance of anything we wanted to do in Stowe. I cannot praise the FGL enough.

Check in and check out was quick, easy and Lexi and was personable at check in and the woman at check out was very nice too (sorry I did not get her name). There are so many different areas to sit within the hotel to hang out and it has a very comfortable, homey feel. The fire pit was great to sit by. My only minor complaint was the bathroom door stuck and it was quite difficult to get out, but I’m sure an easy fix. The bar area was nice too, and they did have corn hole set up.

We stayed at Field Guide for 3 nights in Cottage Suite 2. It was a very pleasant weekend. We enjoyed the lounge with the games with the kids, the quiet surroundings and also the perfect location nearby lots of activities and restaurants. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Thx again for a very nice stay. Keep it up.

Stopped here on a road trip of the six states of New England, great relaxed feel with very helpful staff. The hot tub is a nice touch too!

Honestly, another above and beyond experience! Aiden Pichette is a stellar example of personalized, friendly and professional service and represents the Field Lodge Values perfectly. It was such a good feeling to be genuinely remembered by Aiden ! We will be back soon ! Breakfast is still delicious! Rooms are warm and inviting with super comfy beds and the bathrooms are beautiful.

If your not packing a backpack this is not the hotel for you!! There is NO elevator to go to your room. I can definitely see this being a problem for many reasons in many families. Not to mention that the a/c didn't work in our room and I pulled my back out going down 6 flights of stairs with my luggage. This was at the beginning of my week trip. Just is something to9 think about.

DEFINITELY STAY HERE!!!!

Upon entering the hotel, Aiden greeted us and she has such amazing energy as well as a great sense of humor…she wore so many hats… she the concierge, the elevator (the couple ahead of us checking in asked where the elevator was and she said she was the elevator and helped them with their luggage), bartender, chef, and housekeeping..and possibly more. Also, the chia pudding at breakfast was absolutely fabulous and she told me how to make it which is currently in my fridge waiting for us to sample it when it’s ready! The rooms were so cute and clean. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend staying here! Definitely and 11 out of 10!
