I recently stayed one night at the Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Sunnyvale, and unfortunately, it was not a pleasant experience. The property is extremely old and in poor condition. The chair in my room was filthy—so dirty that it looked like it was picked up from a junkyard. I wouldn't even consider keeping something like that in my home. The atmosphere around the hotel was unsettling. A woman from the next room asked me what day it was, and another woman, four doors away, tried to scare me by insisting I go inside. There was a foul smell in the surroundings of the hotel. This added to the overall discomfort of my stay. On the positive side, the gentleman at the front desk during check-in was respectful and courteous. However, when I checked out the next morning, the woman at the front desk was the opposite—unfriendly and unprofessional. Given these issues, I would not stay here again. The property needs serious improvements to make it a place worth staying at.

We like this property for one off one night stays when we are out most of the day and need bed to sleep for the night. Clean rooms, very basic amenities. One thing was annoying during this trip - An hour before the check out time 3 staff members knocked loudly on the door, one even tried to get into the room saying check out time was near. We asked staff #1 what the time was - they said noon. So we said we will check out before that for sure. 10 min later staff # 2 came and said today is your check out - We said we know!! 5 min later staff #3 came and said check out is at 11 you need to leave now (time was 10:40 still!). We have stayed here 8-10 times in the last 3 years but will think twice before booking this again.

This is a basic old motel. I was more interested in price than amenities when booking this stay, and it was perfectly fine and I got what I paid for. The free breakfast though was pretty marginal.

The owner was super gross saying California is good except for all the Mexicans . Not knowing I’m part Mexican. Then we went out to a concert and came back and our room door was open and two cars full of guys were sitting in front waiting . As two girls this is scary . When I asked earlier at check in if we could not be on bottom floor guy looked all confused . So guys sitting outside our room was creepy so we tried to go to office but no one was there, it was 10 pm. We got our stuff and stayed at a different hotel .

The only 2 things that need to be fixed. The TV in the room did not have a notice to how to start the TV. I had to call the office, and the TV went off on certain channels. The iron had water inside of it and when I turn it on the water came out on the iron board, and the iron was a bit soiled at the bottom so I could not iron my white pants. Other than that, things where good.

The staff was very friendly and professional. We had an issue with the AC upon checking in and they immediately got us a different room. The rooms are very clean, comfortable beds, and the breakfast was much more than I anticipated. Fresh coffee, fresh fruit, eggs, waffle making station, various breads for toasting, cereals, yogurt, muffins, etc. Would stay there again if I’m in the area.

You Get What You Pay For

While the price was nice, this room claimed to have air conditioning and satellite TV. There was a broken down fan with no markings at all on the knobs. It blew air but it was not air conditioning. It was semi-warm air and sticky. The television only worked on a few channels. Most of the time it was pixelated and frozen. The whole place smelled like a sewer outside. The room was clean but the beds were very hard. The continental breakfast was a joke. Hard boiled eggs, toast, apples, some cereal (Cheerios and Frosted Flakes), coffee, NO JUICE of any kind, no pastries. They did have a waffle maker but there was no offering of toppings, only syrup. It was very lacking. The breakfast, tv, and air conditioning were a requirement in my booking and all three were a horrible let-down. The price was right, but you definitely get what you pay for. None of us slept well at all. I will not go back and I don't recommend this place to anyone.
