Wild Palms is a beautiful home in a quiet island neighborhood, located within a short distance to Tybee's Jaycee Park. Take a dip in the afternoon in the large, heated, private pool, and enjoy the spacious backyard, perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach! Stylish furnishings, large decks, and wonderfully landscaped courtyard surrounding the pool.

As with many Tybee homes, the home is built off the ground, with the main entrance on the second level of the home. Upon entering the home, guests are greeted with an open floor plan with a large living area that offers a Queen-size sleeper sofa and a flat-screen TV. The open kitchen and dining area are perfect for entertaining guests and hosting family meals at the table. The kitchen is fully equipped, including a dishwasher. Enjoy a casual outdoor living space on the screened porch, located on the front of the house, just off the living room. This is a perfect place to enjoy the Tybee Breezes in the evenings.

The main level bedrooms include a bedroom with a King-size bed and an ensuite bathroom with a tub and shower combination. The second bedroom on this floor is furnished with a Queen Size Bed and a TV. Just off the hall is a full bathroom with a tub and shower combination. Both bedrooms on this level have access to a balcony overlooking the large backyard and pool area.

The top floor of the home includes a bedroom with a King size bed and a TV, and access to an outdoor balcony from the bedroom. The attached bathroom has a tub and shower combination. The second guest bedroom upstairs has 2 twin beds with TV and an attached bathroom, perfect for kids.

Wild Palms is located about 1/2 a mile, 11 minutes walk from the nearest beach access, in a quiet neighborhood. Many extras...DVD and video collection, games, WIFI, books, and more. Walking distance to Jaycee Park, restaurants, and shopping. The closest beach access is approximately 1/2 mile from home. Parking for 4. This home is not pet-friendly.

Guests may choose the option of adding pool heat to their reservation for an additional $25.00 per day for the length of reservation. (Not available in January and February).

Check before you buy
For the price of this property I feel that extra toilet paper paper towels and dish pods should have been available. Check propane when you get there as our tank was empty but it was too late to have it filled as I was already cooking dinner, the property manager told us trash was on Tuesday and Friday, but it was Monday and Thursday. Not a big deal for less than a week but we were there for over a week. The property company was our biggest issue with this rental. Otherwise the private pool and size of the condo was totally appropriate for two separate family units to be able to stay in. The owners of the condo left us a very nice note and a stained glass ornament.

Property and furniture needs updated. Should have one walk in shower for older people, who can’t get in tubs. Wicker chairs were awful, totally uncomfortable. Deck was very dirty, we didn’t even go out on it. Pool was great we loved it. People we talked to on phone were very nice.. just wish the living room furniture was comfortable.

Great place for family vacation. Lots of room and 3 separate balconies leaves room to spread out.
Had 1 minor AC issue and this was dealt with immediately - less than 1 hour. Great service. Loved the house - neighborhood restaurant had late night music but was enjoyable not offensive when sitting on screened in porch. I’d recommend this location.

Great for a Big Family
This was a great spot to stay with family. Every room in the house had its own bath, which was wonderful for this family of six. Location wise…it’s near the North Beach with a couple restaurants in walking distance. But most of the food spots are a short drive away. The house was clean & the pool was a huge hit. This house is run by a rental company so it had most of the amenities but not everything you’d find if it was run by an individual owner. Check in is right around 4pm, and that’s as soon as we were able to get in. Another thing we realize would’ve been more flexible working with an individual owner vs a rental company. Overall it was a great stay. Only a couple complaints: the propane was empty, which we realized when we tried to grill. Likely an oversight. The upstairs king bedroom doesn’t have very good sound proofing, as we could hear every little peep from things going on outside & the air system was noisy as well. It sounded like there was a rain storm going on outside every time it went in & off. But minor details when the house itself & pool was so great. Just few things to take into consideration if you’re a light sleeper.

Great location with spacious porches.
While we enjoyed our stay, there were a few issues with the property management company. We were told a day prior to our arrival the pool was turned on and once the house was cleaned, we would be able to check in. When we arrived, the cleaners were there, so we didn’t stop. An hour later when we drove back, they were gone. I called the PM company and they told me it was still being cleaned. After waiting past our scheduled 4 pm check in time, PM finally called us with the door code. It was an unusually warm day and later that evening we realized the AC wasn’t working. We opened the windows and called the PM the next morning regarding the AC and we also realized the pool was not heating. Early afternoon, we called a second time and they did send someone out. It was another warm day and the house was heating up in the 80s. The AC repairman got the unit running in less than 30 minutes. We asked about the pool heater but he was only a heating/air tech. After more calls to PM and explaining how the pool condenser was frozen up and had several inches of ice, they said it was normal. The pool never heated. Every winter we head south and rent a house with a heated pool. We never had one stay freezing cold, especially with temps in low 80s. The house was great. I feel like the issues were with the property management company and not the owner.

Great home for warm months!
Beautiful and clean! We visited during a particularly cold weekend and unfortunately could not use the beautiful pool. We hoped the jacuzzi was a hot tub, but it is a large bath tub for one in the bathroom. The heat was not working in the house and it was 57 degrees inside for a full 24 hours (including all night long and after getting home from a bitterly cold half marathon) but they refunded a night’s stay and it was in full working condition our last night there. I sound definitely stay again but in the summer!

Long Weekend on Tybee
My friends, family and I loved this property! We stayed for a long weekend. I live in Savannah, and my family/friends came to visit me from out of town. We were incredibly impressed by the space. Many updates had been made since the time of booking and it was even more beautiful in person. The pool was very nice!

We had an amazing stay. The home was clean and well stocked. We spent hours in the heated pool, well worth the extra cost. Wish we had remembered to bring beach towels and stayed longer. Everything was great.

Heated pool advertisement did not seem to be true
Beautiful property but the pool was the primary reason for choosing this location 2 hours away and unfortjnately, there was no lighting or heat in the pool. I booked for a short stay to have some smiles while traveling for a funeral. There was not great communication and when someone arrived the next morning to heat and check the lighting, I was told all was good and we looked forward to day 2. The pool never heated and night fell and no lights worked. I was then informed of a fee to heat the pool. We were checking out the next morning and finally the pool was warm. The TV only worked in the living room, all others seemed to lack a signal.

Mixed bag of good and bad with this location.
Overall the house was clean and the property management company was easy to communicate through texting. Several pro and cons listed below. -they advertise a heated pool, the pool was not heated. I doubt that the hearing amenity has ever worked. They messed with the pump but it never got to a reasonable temperature. If we would have known the pool wasn’t actually heated we would have never selected this location. The property did give us 2 days credit. I do remember reading a couple reviews complaining about this same issue, should have listened to the reviews. -we weren’t able to check in until 5 pm due to maintenance not being finished on time. What was ironic was that their crew was stalking the property at 9:30 am ensuring that we were out at 10 am for check out. -the cockspure bar and grill next door was conveniently located across the street. Good food, fire pit and atmosphere. Our biggest issue with the property was the heated pool issue as our kids were looking forward to the pool at it was too cold for them to get in. We selected a property with a heated pool specifically knowing the weather could be iffy the first week of April.

Perfect accommodations for a family! Four lovely bedrooms, each with its own bath, wraparound decks with plenty of deck furniture, beautiful pool area (a bit chilly for swimming in November!), fully-equipped kitchen (even a blender and food processor!). About 1/2 mile to the beach, a fun walk through some old Tybee neighborhoods; a park and playground for kids just a few blocks away. A wonderful stay!

We had a great stay and the property was everything we had hoped it would be. There were so many places for us to spread out and hang out. The beach was not a far walk at all! The only downside we had was we ran out of toilet paper two days in and we could not find any in the house. We called the office Saturday morning and left a message and never heard anything so we went out and bought some.

Do not stay here. It is not as advertised!
Not only was the house not as stated, the management company (Tybee Vacation Rentals) does a poor job at managing their properties. We were informed 4 hours prior to our stay that a leak in the pool liner was just discovered. I understand these things can happen, but upon arriving at the property, we discovered a pool that had been neglected for at least a month (I wish I could upload photos). No doubt the management company withheld this info until the last minute so they can assure the rental for the week knowing we didn’t have another option last minute. It took multiple trips up to TVR requesting to speak with a manager until someone finally called me back, which was after we were home from vacation. Very disappointing. Also, the pictures are out of date as some of the furniture has been changed or removed from the house. Read the previous review also, this property seems to be going downhill. Rent at your own risk.

Pictures are deceiving
The pictures of the property was obviously taken a long time ago because it definitely has been neglected. Inside the house was smaller than we thought but was very clean. The refrigerator was tore apart when we got there and not working. After we called, they brought another refrigerator the next day. We never could get the WiFi working. I notified the office and they had me try a few things that I already did, still to no avail. I was very pleased with the booking experience and the checkout experience. I probably wouldn’t stay at this exact property anymore though.

Fantastic family house
We were in town for a weekend only, but everything was perfect and the house was big enough to spread out our family and let everyone have their own private space. I will absolutely try to stay again if we return for a longer vacation in the summer months. We found nothing at all wrong and it was very comfortable, had plenty of covered parking, and was in a safe area. Many restaurants and gift shops in walking distance (by that I mean a block!). I would say its in walking distance of the beach, but probably easier to drive and park if you would be taking a ton of chairs and supplies along with you. The pool is big and there's plenty of open area to get sun in the summer months. Overall, great house and good deal for everything that comes along with it.
