The grounds were lovely and relaxing. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is walking distance from restaurants and shopping.
When i arrived they had no room even though I had paid in advance
They tried to make me get on the back of a motor bike to go somewhere else I am 60 They tried to get me to leave without my bags promising to send them" later"
After 2 hours they got a car and I was dropped at the top of a hill and had to carry my own suitcase down a steep walkway almost falling over several times
Worst service i have ever had overseas.
I am disappointed in expedia as well for not making sure bookings are kept and for not providing better service to fix up problem.
I would not have stayed at the place they sent me if I had a choice

Very simple and clean accomodation, even NO TV...XXI. century..... simple breakfast, helpful staff.
Quiet , comfy and spacious rooms , we had balcony room, few stairs but worth the effort, fantastic shower, internet a bit slow sometimes but wasn’t an issue , good breakfast with fresh fruit and juice and coffee to start your day . Very Helpful staff . Will definitely comeback . Thanks Gatra inn .

Nice hotel because in the city center but there is a bad smelling in the room and durty sheets and pillows .u can't sleep well.but nice staff
Very clean hotel. Super convenient location. Scooter rental was extremely convenient. Friendly staff with breakfast served on your own, semi-private balcony.
The room was clean and spacious. The suite was fantastic, huge bathroom and perfect shower. The standard rooms were nice as well, slightly smaller. Only complaint was that the wifi was spotty in the rooms. It worked well in the courtyard. Also, no television, but we weren't there to watch tv. ]

I cannot rate this hotel because when I arrived at 1.30 pm they were booked out. I had to stay elsewhere. Luckily the manager allowed me to stay at another hotel he had. Second time in a
row, I have had a major hassle booking in using Hotels.com.
The hotel was in a great, central location and it was a great value for the low cost. Laundry took a little longer than we had hoped (not same day) but otherwise everything was great.
What a great small guest house, ideal location, central for all activities, not rated 5 Star because there is no TV, restaurant or pool, but all other facilities are top rated. when in Ubud the variety and quality of restaurants is second to none. this is a must stay. I will be back.
My wife and I spent a lot of time in our room at Gatra as I got sick during our stay. The hotel is excellent. The bed and shower are amazing. The breakfasts are good. Staff is helpful and friendly. The a/c worked well. The only negatives are the small ants that were all over the floor. There were not enough to bother us. And the big negative is the wifi. It worked about 20% of our stay. I'm sure the staff will get it figured out soon.
I stayed here for a night in Ubud during my recent trip to Bali. Gatra is located in one of the quiet streets in the neighbourhood. I was greeted nicely by one of the staff who then explained the room facilities. Breakfast was great and fresh as it was home made. The only thing that I feel could be improve is the availability of television in the room but this is no big issue since I have got my laptop and free wi-fi facilities from Gastra. Overall, a very pleasant stay!

Highly recommend! Oh, there's a small swimming pool nest door you can use for $3 US if you'd like. Perfect!
Great, comfortable place to stay in walking distance to where you want to be. It is very new so the cleanliness is a good standard. I only stayed 2 nights & would have stayed my entire time in Ubud but I prefer somewhere with a pool.
