Sunset Villa is a single family home located only minutes away from the brand new Atlanta Braves Spring Training CoolToday Stadium, popular Sharky`s restaurant and Fin's at the base of Venice Fishing Pier, Shamrock Park, Legacy Bike Trail, downtown shopping on Venice Island, and the Venice Fishing Pier. It features two bedrooms and two baths plus a bonus Florida room with a full sized comfy sofa bed as well as a Simmons Dream Sleep folding twin bed which can be put anywhere.

The tropical back yard is fully fenced.

Sunset Villa has a split floor plan with each bedroom separated by the living room and kitchen. Provided are many amenities to make your vacation relaxing, including beach chairs, beach umbrella, shark's tooth strainer and even two beach cruiser bicycles.

On one side of Sunset Villa is the master suite with a pocket door that closes creating a cozy and private retreat from the rest of the home. The master bedroom features a comfortable King size bed and a walk-in closet with plenty of room for your clothes. The master bathroom has a bath tub and shower. Feel extra pampered after your shower with the plush spa towels and waffle cotton spa robe provided for you during your stay.

The second bedroom includes a Queen sized bed and a roomy closet for all of those new “Shark's Tooth Capital” t-shirts. It also boasts its own bathroom with a walk-in shower just outside the room.

The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, gadgets and updated appliances – including dishwasher. Also included are basic spices, coffee and sugar to get you started.

The living room lets you sit back and relax between all of that hard work of laying on the beach and features HDTV with loads of HD channels and a the ability to record your favorite shows while you are out as well as wireless Internet access (Free WiFi).

The back patio invites you to cook on the propane grill and dine outside while enjoying the Florida sunshine or comfortable nights under the palm trees while being serenaded by tree frogs and crickets. A huge Mango tree hangs over from the yard next door and drops ripened Mangoes into the yard. Relax there and watch your kids or pets play in the fenced yard, chasing the cute little geckos.

Also available for you are a full sized washer and dryer for drying those wet bathing suits, washing those towels you were sitting on at the beach or getting your clothes cleaned of one adventure and ready for the next.

Sunset Villa has ceiling fans in the living room, dining room and eat-in kitchen. Also for your convenience is a roomy garage with inside entrance to the house and an automatic garage door opener is provided for your use.

The back yard is fully fenced so no need to have to walk the dog several times a day - although you probably won't mind strolling around the lovely quiet neighborhood.

Proximity to the Gulf of Mexico brings almost constant breezes to this lovely home. Throw open all the windows and the sliding glass door and enjoy the fresh ocean air while you sip your coffee!

Visit beautiful Venice Island only 3 minutes north. Shop, eat and enjoy the many wonderful activities only minutes away, including the Venice Rookery where you can see Bald Eagles and other exotic large birds, the weekly Venice Farmer's Market, Warm Mineral Springs or travel 20 minutes north to Sarasota for the Mote Marine Aquarium or Myakka River Park where you can see alligators in their natural habitat from an air boat.

Venice, Florida is known as the 'Shark's Tooth Capital of the World' and your vacation paradise is minutes from Caspersen Beach where you can scoop shark's teeth right out of the shallows. Don't worry, these teeth aren't new, they're prehistoric.

We use a keyless entry for easy and secure access to the house. There are no cleaning people or contractors who will have a key to the house. As the property owners, we respect your privacy and value your security.

Venice is a very beautiful and laid back city and you're sure to meet other friendly people biking and walking as you take a stroll or walk your dog. The local area has several dog parks and dog beaches where your pooch can run free.

We now sanitize guest handled items such as TV remotes, garage opener, door knobs and light switches for added safety.

Our stay was wonderful.
This rental was great! We hosted a Christmas dinner and the rental was spacious, the kitchen was comfortable for hosting. Something went wrong with the water system while we were on an outing and the property management company answered our call and repaired the problem within an hour. We appreciated the washer/dryer. The fence was secure for our dog. Thank you for a great stay and a clean home!

Great house
This was the second time to rent this house for visiting our son. We really like the area, being close to the beach and convenience for our son. The only issue was the fact that the cable/internet was down due to Hurricane Ian. We only found out a few hours before check-in on Wednesday of our 5 night stay. It was unsure exactly when it would be restored. We would have rented a different house if we had known beforehand. Being unable to watch any weather, television or sporting events, we asked if we could check out early. VRBO and Dan approved our change of plans. By the time we left on Friday afternoon, Comcast had sent someone to work on the service. Despite this issue, we will consider staying again for future visits to the area. Dan was timely in response to any questions we had, overall a great host.

From the first time I inquired about staying at this property, to the checkout process, it was perfect! Great communication from the owner, they were very accommodating to my dogs and me. The house itself is very spacious, comfortable, clean, has everything you can can possibly need, in a quiet neighborhood and is in an amazing location. I felt very safe, welcomed and home away from home in this house! Thank you again for helping my pups and me get through our transition! The property mgt. was good, very nice and great communication. The facility itself is in need of some upgrades to made it a more pleasant experience. We spent a great deal of time cleaning each and every day. The backyard is very sandy and it was impossible to keep it out of the house. The provided amenities were not the best. Chipped dishes, poor quality pots and pans, etc… The cabinets are of poor quality and the surface is coming loose. I just expected much nicer comforts for the price we paid. The neighborhood is very nice and so close to everything we enjoy.

Sunset Villa was cozy.
Sunset Villa was overall clean, nice amenities available. The inclusion of the bikes was really nice since the bike path is so close. We didn't use the kitchen except to make coffee in the morning so I don't have any feedback about cooking. The only negative feedback I would give is the shower curtains should be changed or cleaned more often.

This rental was exactly what our family needed! The house was fully stocked with everything we needed so besides filling it with our food, there was nothing to worry about. The house was clean, quaint and offered lots of storage space so you could really unpack and make yourself feel at home. We loved the big back yard with the privacy fence- this made traveling with our 2 big dogs and our 3 children so much easier. We relaxed at the house quite a bit, but also visited 3 of the nearby beaches which were between 10 and 20 minutes from the house. They were all beautiful! During our stay, the famous Venice Beach fishing pier was under construction for repairs; however we found another great pier (Anger Pier) in Englewood close by. We liked that area so much, we went back the next evening to enjoy a Sunset and Dolphin Cruise that takes off right across the street from the pier. Detwilers Amish Market was so amazing we visited twice during the week to stock up, and the nearby Ideal Car Museum was such a cool FREE attraction to stroll through. Our rental contact, Ruth, was fantastic. Excellent communication and easy to get in touch with if needed; however, the house was perfect and we didn’t have to contact her at all during our stay. The rental information binder she has in the house was super helpful too. We would definitely book this rental again. The house and area were great if you are looking for a relaxing beach week!

House was very clean and cozy. Everything needed for a week’s vacation stay was provided for. Beds were very comfortable. Very quiet neighborhood. Snacks and water bottles in fridge were a nice touch. Ruth (owner) was vey nice and quickly responds to any questions. We brought our two dogs and they enjoyed having the enclosed yard to go out in. They especially enjoyed the doggie beach which was only about a 10 minute drive away – and the reason we chose the area and house. The doggie beach itself is very clean and stretches quite far. Also, many really good places to eat (especially Italian) all within 5-10 minute drive. Enjoyed downtown Venice, Sharky’s on the Pier, Benny Bada Bing Pizza, and the New York Pizza Café has great pizza. Drive to St. Armand’s Island/Sarasota is a nice, short drive away. Would recommend staying – especially if you have dogs.

We enjoyed our stay at Sunset Villa everything was clean and comfortable and charming...the owners have a book that is very helpful with maps and things to do in the local area and they even had a basket of snacks on the kitchen counter and water bottles in the frig... You have everything you need in the kitchen including a blender which I used for Morning smoothies they also have Beach towels and bikes very well appointed... Ruth was very helpful and the fenced backyard was perfect for our dogs ... We enjoyed staying there so we could visit my Son and his Family for Easter it was last minute and Ruth was very helpful with the process as well... I would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a pet friendly place that is Convient to the Beaches they even have access to the ferry that is for their neighborhood that goes to a Private part of the Beach that we will have to check out next time!

We loved our month at Sunset Villa. The property was perfect for us....very clean house, convenient location, and a nice fenced yard which was great for our dogs. Ruth was extremely accommodating and responsive even going out of her way to bring us extra chairs in time for the Venice boat parade. We visited nearby Shamrock Park daily for walks with our dogs and enjoyed the bikes included in the house rental to ride along the intercoastal. Another perk was the ferry pass to the private South Venice Beach. Wish we didn't have to return to NY!

Perfect home and location for pet owners
We spent a wonderful week at this nicely furnished and appointed vacation home, whose fully fenced, spacious yard and cool tile throughout the home proved perfect for our 14-month-old Golden Retriever. Apart from the home’s pristine cleanliness, the many thoughtful touches - the beach towels and equipment, the assortment of snacks, including a special dog treat, the availability of basics like water and coffee - made us feel welcome and at home. With two large master bedrooms and baths separated by the kitchen and living/dining-room space, this well maintained home would also be perfect for 2 couples, or families. The location was ideal - in the middle of a quiet and quaint neighborhood, perfect for relaxing walks with our pooch, and about 10 minutes by car away from beautiful Brohard Dog Beach, as well as spacious and shaded Woodmere Dog Park. We will definitely return and wholeheartedly recommend this fabulous vacation home, especially for dog owners.

Get on airplane, train or in your car and get to this wonderful vacation home in Venice. Everything is provided for you(even a garlic press in the kitchen. The home is very clean. Our puppies (two basset hounds) loved the fenced back yard. Neighbors were friendly. Great location for almost any activity. We really enjoyed the dog beach, all dogs and owners were friendly. Beach was super clean. We also went to Capersan Beach and hunted for sharks teeth. Restaurants we enjoyed were Left Coast Seafood(went there twice) Fins @ Sharkys, Robbies Reef, Cedar Reef Fish Camp, Suncoast Café(great Cuban sandwiches), We also purchased stoned crab claws twice(Detwiller;s Market was the best price). They also had dark chocolate crossiants that were to die for. Venice is a beautiful clean town with lots of recreation. No fee parking at the beach, Venetian Waterway trail was great for walking dogs. Had a great afternoon in downtown Venice. Ruth was great to work with and answered all questions very quickly.
