We really enjoyed our stay here over the the Fourth of July as the mountains are so much cooler than the coast this time of year. Beautiful balcony to sit with coffee and listen to the rain on the trees and the birds. It’s like the mountain and trees engulf the house and you can only catch glimpses of the sky. A great place to disconnect from the busy-ness of life and reconnect with family. Lots of room for the family to have their own space to relax or get together for game night. Fun things to do in town: mining for gems, antique shops, waterfalls, hiking, Cherokee reservation, and more. Easy check in and check out.
Full disclosure, this house is located a fair way up the mountain with a one lane hairpin winding road (steep incline) that still gives me heart palpitations thinking about it, but once you get up there it’s worth it. Neighbors are really friendly and were happy to share bear sighting stories right before nightfall with us city slickers. ;-)
Highly recommend. Would go again.
