Escape to the scenic Northern California Coast at this two-bedroom, oceanfront Westport vacation rental! With gorgeous Pacific Ocean views and an updated beach cottage interior, you'll have a relaxing and one-of-a-kind vacation at The Coast!

Located on the public headlands, you'll be right on the picturesque and rocky shoreline with nearby trails to two beaches. The small town of Westport offers a general store and a restaurant (you can even get an espresso and Sunday brunch at the Old Abalone Pub), but there are plenty of restaurants, shops, and more just to the south in Fort Bragg (16 miles away) and 10 miles further in Mendocino.

You'll step inside to bamboo hardwood floors, recessed lighting in the wood-paneled ceilings, and an open floor plan. Large windows offer a direct view of the Pacific Ocean and you'll have a wood-burning stove for cozy and atmospheric nights inside. There's also a large screen TV, (with live-streaming access via Roku) plus a DVD player and movie library for entertainment.

The full kitchen is packed with all the major appliances you'll need (including a dishwasher), to create tasty vacation meals. Stop at the store in Fort Bragg and come back home with groceries to whip up a spicy pot of cioppino. You can enjoy your seafood stew at the dining table with gorgeous ocean views!

A small bistro table right by the windows is the perfect spot for an afternoon glass of local wine, and you'll even have binoculars for looking out to sea.

The outdoor deck is complete with patio seating and a gas grill. Work on your tan while you admire the view.

At night, the two bedrooms provide space for up to four guests. You'll have a queen bed, two twins, and two window seat mattresses—great for kids. Both bedrooms have access to the upper deck for gorgeous early morning ocean views. Other amenities include a private washer/dryer, a stereo with a CD player, and one-and-a-half baths.

This peaceful spot is perfect for getting away from it all or searching out activities like wine tasting, beachcombing, and hiking. Drive about four miles south to sample local grapes at Pacific Star Winery—here you can bring a picnic lunch, sit back in Adirondack chairs, and dine outdoors overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

Further south, Fort Bragg offers restaurants, breweries, and shops, while charming Mendocino is home to galleries, boutiques, and a variety of restaurants. Visit the Glass Beach in Fort Bragg adjacent to MacKerricher State Park or the Mendocino Botanical Gardens. You can set off on a day's adventure to the Avenue of the Giants (redwood forest) or just stay home and unwind and practice a “digital detox” and listen to the ocean surf hitting the rocky coast—this coastal retreat is a great home base for it all!

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
