This is the second time we’ve stayed at 90 San Luis St. C., and it is always a joy. So conveniently close to the water and promenade, that you can walk right down for a morning coffee at Kraken, or breakfast at the Custom House. Had take out one evening at Ocean Grill, and the property had all the things you need to enjoy a family-style meal at the large dining room table.
Couple quick notes: save your rental agreement so that you know what is expected of you for checking out. Unlike most VRBO’s, this property does not have a welcome binder with the procedures. There’s only a lucite placard that tells you the wifi code/laundry room code, and information on contacting the property management. Second, make sure you read through the house amenities provided when you’re considering the property so you know what to expect - there is no grill, nor a grilling pan, so don’t expect to be BBQ’ing steak/chicken/fish. And, like 99% of the properties in Avila, there is NO A/C. Do not be confused by the wall mounted thermostat that makes you think there is! Not sure if that’s disengaged for rental, but regardless you don’t get to use it.
We love love LOVE this property! We’ve come to Avila for over 20 years and this is by far our favorite place to stay. Come enjoy the best kept secret beach in California!!
