We came to town for a family funeral. The room was clean. The staff was friendly. It is right next to the Walmart store, which was convenient. I would stay here again if i came back to Brookfield.

Great place to stay

Our first room smelled like cigarette smoke. After talking to the front desk, we were given a different room. The employees were friendly and the breakfast was great too!

Good place to stay with advise

My husband and I are visiting relatives and found that the BW was in a very good location, close to 63 and Walmart. The motel was very clean, they washed the floors every day and the daily warm breakfast was good with other options. We choose not to have our room cleaned every day......so maybe they should incorporate that into their program to create an ECO friendly stay. My biggest complaint is about all the plastic waste that we experienced all over Brookfield. Nothing was served on washable plate. I cannot even imagine the amount of plastic waste that accumulates each day in the landfills. Plus I do not like eating off of plastic or disposable plate, utensils, cups, etc, because of pastic toxins. My suggestion is to get rid of plastics and disposables and go back to glass and china. You may have to purchase a commercial dishwasher, but this is cheaper in the long run and more environmentally friendly. I would also suggest an outside patio in the back facing Walmart so that if we would like to bring in take out we have a place out side to enjoy and not just in our room. Overall, we were very impressed with the motel and staff. Thank you!

The day was nice, it would have been more pleasant to have our take out on an outside area with tables between Walmart and the hotel.

My wife & I stayed in rm 106. Thru out the nite we had a loud intermittent ‘Jack hammer like’ sound every 30 minutes duration 45 secs. NO SLEEP WHICH WAS BAD ENOUGH ON EVE OF MY MOM’s funeral next day. complained to clerk and hotel manager no offer to move us. HORRIBLE NITE !!! told by manager it was an air compressor located proximal to our room. We deserve a refund for this calamity. Mgr told us you all would do that since we prepaid thru you. NOTE: we still used Expedia for our stay in Mount Vernon Illinois next nite. Hopefully you can do the ‘right thing’

Suite was a waste.

I pd extra for the suite with the couch, which the room had. But there was no tv in that part of the room, and no coffee table. I was expecting to be able to sit on the couch to watch the tv, but instead had to sit on the bed, which was what i paid extra to avoid. The hotel is nice and the room was clean, but i was very dissatisfied with the room. Was not at all what I expected for $175.
