Family House on Lake Murray is located on Sunset Point. Sip a cool beverage or a hot toddy depending on when you visit while enjoying the swing on the back veranda. The family home provides an open floor plan that includes family, dining & kitchen space with 22' ceilings, fireplace and expansive views of the lake. The back porch spanning the full length of the house provides tons of outdoor living space. 5 bedrooms have king size beds and private bath and the 6th bedroom has 4 built in bunk beds and its own private bathroom. Outstanding views of the lake from the open great room and Master bedroom as well as 3 bedrooms on the second floor. Outdoor fire pit is perfect for chilly nights. Home is on cul-de-sac street and off a dead end street so it’s very quiet and private. The house is 1 mile from the entrance to Timberlake Country Club. It's perfect for large families or couples who require private bathroom space.

Blown away!

This was hands down the best vacation home my family and I have ever stayed in! Excellent communication with the host who is incredibly nice! When you walk in you feel like you’re in a family/friends house rather than a sterile rental house. There isn’t a bad view from any room. Anything you could think of is in the house from extra blankets, to pillows, to games and movies. So much love and thought was poured into this house, loved the personalized coasters and cups! There was plenty of space for my family to gather together and plenty of space to be alone as well. We had a day or two of rain but we were still able to spend time outside on the huge back porch. The swing was most popular. We enjoyed our time so much we’ve already started planning our return trip!

Wedding in Columbia/family weekend

Lovely home. It's great for larger groups or several family members together because each bedroom is en suite (even the bunk room). There were only 7 of us, but the house can accommodate more people

Lovely home

Our stay was wonderful until Hurricane Helene decided to pay us a visit. The home is beautiful and the lake is gorgeous. Power was lost and we had to leave early. The owner stayed in contact with us and was incredibly gracious and was concerned for all of us. I would definitely return for another visit.

Family Vacation

Our family is spread among 3 states so we picked this location for a family vacation. The property was outstanding. It was clean, well appointed and very comfortable. The location on Lake Murray was a perfect setting for our vacation. The owner was very responsive to any of our inquiries and we will be going back again soon

Amazing House!

This house was amazing! The house is gorgeous with a spacious layout and so well equipped for a large group to comfortably stay there together. Linens are lovely, kitchen offerings were plentiful with every appliance and great functional space for large groups to cook and clean together. The lake view is perfect from every room in the back of the house too, with so much comfortable outside seating. Our visit was just too short but we will definitely be back again! Tom made check in and check out a breeze and he answered many questions ahead of time in a super timely manner. We loved every minute there!

Beautiful Lake House

This was one of the nicest vacation rentals our family has rented. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. The house was equipped with anything you could possibly need. Our entire family, aged 3-69, had a wonderful week. Thank you!

Clean and wonderful lake house with all the amenities we needed

Communication with the owner, Tom, was the best I've had in any experience we've had in renting homes like this. Tom responded immediately to my messages pre-stay, and then stayed in close contact throughout our stay to make sure everything was great. The house was wonderful to say the least. It was by far the most clean home we've rented. The kitchen was beyond stocked, the linens and other items supplied were spotless. In short, it was obvious that we were renting a house that this family actually uses, it's not just a rental property for them. If this wasn't a once-in-a-lifetime trip for us (it was a fairly expensive trip), I would rent again in a heartbeat.

A new tradition!

We had the most amazing week staying here! There is nothing we would change - and will definitely be back! By far the best rental we have ever stayed in: Clean, well-stocked and very spacious. Graduation Weekend Stay

This home is absolutely amazing! It's beautiful inside and outside. We had 8 people stay here for my daughter's college graduation weekend...4 nights (2 sets of grandparents, my 2 college aged kids and my husband and myself). Both sets of grandparents were able to have rooms downstairs. Each bedroom had its own bathroom. The house and porch were so spacious that people could all be together, but not feel like we were on top of each other, or we could spread out and have some quiet time. The hosts were very responsive when I had questions....and were very patient with me. We could not have asked for better hosts. The house is equipped with everything you could need....from kitchen supplies to water toys, etc. Everyone enjoyed their time at the house and it made my daughter's graduation even more special. It is about a 45 minute drive into Columbia, but it is an easy drive and went by very quickly. I highly recommend this house for a relaxing stay on a beautiful lake.

One Of The Best Places To Stay in Chapin!

We have stayed at this property twice already, and what keeps us coming back is the hospitality, the ease of reservation, the beautiful location, and most of all, the hosts. The are mindful of you from start to finish, easy to communicate with, the house is beautiful and always in great condition, welcoming, and it honestly can't be beat!/ If you are able to snag this property, don't think twice. You will not regret it!

Beautiful!

Everything about this property is beautiful! Once you walk into the house, you feel at home and the view of the lake just makes it even better than anticipated. We went the week before Christmas and the owners (Tom∠ie) had Christmas trees and the house decorated and of course, it was beautiful! The beds, furniture and outside porch were a hit with everyone. The kitchen was so well stocked with everything we needed - we love to cook as a family and there was plenty of room for the cooks and the ones that love to hang out in the kitchen. The owner (Tom) responded immediately to all our questions and even shared their decorating information! I love the house so much that I am stealing their decorating/paint colors and furniture ideas! Everyone had space to hang out and the bunk room is a bonus for teens. We did not have time to experience the lake and fire pit and we will definitely be going back! Words can not adequately describe Tom and Angie's home, you must experience it and you will not be disappointed!

Perfect Vacation Rental

The house was amazing!!! The view of the lake was gorgeous and so inviting. I got great use of the paddle board, some of us kayaked at night to see the stars and we rented a boat from the neighbor. The kitchen is well equipped and there is separate ice machine in the garage. Mornings were spent on the back porch. Mid afternoon we moved to the front where there was plenty of shade. This is a must to put on your list of vacation rentals. And the very best part, are the owners, who could not have been more gracious. Tom and Angie were a joy. I highly recommend this beautiful home.

Better than expected

This house was ideal for our large party with the bathrooms in every bedroom and the large open living/dining area! We rented a pontoon it was perfect for our kids to explore the lake. The owners were extremely responsive and easy to work with!

This home and property is beautiful, clean and extremely comfortable. The owners were very easy to communicate with and answered any questions we had. For a family reunion; the home, porch, fire pit, kayaks, paddle boards and lake provided everything we could hope for! We will be back.

Perfect vacation house!

I can't say enough about this property. We visit a different lake every year and this rental far exceeded all the others. This house was perfect for our family of 10 (adult children). It was beautifully furnished and decorated, and so clean! Everyone had their own bath and they loved that! The porch is wonderful. We spent so much time there, both on the swing and the comfortable chairs/couch...plenty of room for everyone! The kitchen is so well equipped for anything you're cooking. We spent a lot of time swimming, boating and enjoying the house and yard. It was by far the best vacation we've had, and we definitely plan to go back. Tom was very receptive every time I reached out. If I could give this house more than 5 stars, I would!

Family Reunion

This house exceeded our expectations! The bedrooms were much larger than we thought and the property is on a great part of the Lake Murray! The water is a bit calmer near the house and the view is incredible. We rented a boat for 4 of the 7 days, which was perfect! We got plenty of time to explore, hang out on Sandy Beach, Wake board and loved seeing all the Purple Martin Birds gravitate to Bomb Island on evening boat cruise. It is a sight to see. The kitchen is fully equipped and the open floor plan on on the main floor makes you feel apart of whatever is going on when cooking. The back porch is inviting (porch swing) a lot of seating and very comfortable. The town of Chapin is close so a grocery store is nearby...but honestly we brought all food with us and had great meals around the large kitchen table. We are an active family and like to walk/run in the am. There are many neighborhoods near by to run/walk and explore however the main road is fine to walk short a mile or two. The wild life is beautiful... birds/ deer/ turtles/ fish. The beds were extremely comfortable and communication of the owners was prompt. We will be going back for sure. Not one complaint!

Wonderful Stay at Lake Murray
