It was a good experience. The pool and hot tub were both out of service, which was very disappointing. Lobby was nice and spacious, decorated nicely. Room was fine. Very hard to bring luggage in and out 2 sets of front doors with no automatic doors,

Great, but...

Beautiful hotel, quiet location, and wonderful staff. However, the air conditioner in our room could not keep up (yes, it was in the 90's outside during our stay but our room was probably in the low to mid-80's, even overnight when it cooled outside) and the bed was extremely soft. Some travelers may enjoy that, but it was definitely not comfortable for me.

Excellent Accommodations!!!

I performed music at an event in West Union and didn’t want to drive back to my sister’s over an hour and an half away at night dodging deer, so I chose to stay at this hotel. I was very pleased with the friendly staff the nice room and especially clean linens and bathroom. The shower was amazing the next morning and, I just can’t say enough about this hotel! Everything was just great!

My granddaughter and I stayed at Boarders for a week. From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out, we had nothing but positive experiences. It has a country atmosphere, it's cozy, and everyone was friendly and helpful. We highly recommend Boarders as a place to stay while visiting Iowa. A big shout out to Daryll who was at the front desk when we checked in and for several of the evenings when we came back to our room in the evening. Daryll was always helpful and pleasant.
